LRS Consulting Services is seeking a business analyst for a 12+ month contract opportunity with our client in Central Illinois or Kentucky! Duties included, but not limited to the following: Gather and translate business requirements into technical design for a new software which is being built to support Employer Reporting process. The software will processes approximately 500,000 records of financial transaction each month, working on large software development projects, working in an Agile/Scrum framework and translating functional requirement into a technical design.

Must have experience with the following:

  • 5+ years of experience in a business analysis capacity, including all aspects of business process and requirement elicitation, documentation, and testing.
  • 2+ years of experience writing requirements for large scale enterprise applications
  • 2+ years of experience in working in an Agile environment
  • 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft technologies
  • 2+ years of experience working with SQL server, specifically writing SQL queries.
  • 3+ years of experience writing and executing test scripts

Desired experience:

  • 2+ years of experience with Pension Systems

  • Knowledge of Accounting principle

Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)

Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer

Description RESPONSIBILITIES: * Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process analysis, use cases or user stories, scenarios, task and workflow analysis. * Write requirements specifications according to MassMutual standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely. * Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail and in appropriate forms suitable for use by the work cell * Specify quality attributes, external interfaces, and constraints * Represent requirements using alternative views, such as visual analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or simulations, where appropriate * Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards. * Lead requirements validation activities to confirm that a solution based on the requirements would meet customer needs and achieve the business objectives. * Share best practices within and across own work unit. * Consistently demonstrate these characteristics: ◦Customer focus, Sense of urgency, proactive, can-do mentality. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * Demonstrated leadership experience. * BA or BS * Fluent in Microsoft: Project, Power Point, Excel, Word, Visio, Box and Share point * 8 years of direct experience * Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, now or in the future. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Ability to assimilate information quickly * Ability to adapt to changing requirement and to respond in a timely manner. * Ability to build, expand and apply influence to data. * Ability to negotiate to achieve desired project related outcomes. * Demonstrated business acumen.
