Summary

Our client is looking for an accomplished BA to play a key role in the implementation, enhancement, validation and maintenance of IT application and infrastructure systems in support of their daily business needs. This important role contributes to the overall success of the Integration team. The BA will provide initial analysis, advice on new requests given to their team and serve as the liaison between Integration and other IT teams. This role will involve collaborating with other IT teams across the organization to secure funding for the project requested by the respective teams. They also have input to general assessments of new Projects, strategic planning and implementation of the new system or process.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with partners in IT, business areas and vendors in understanding and enhancing business requirements to develop technical and functional specifications

  • Lead the design, build, validation, implementation and maintenance of IT application systems and infrastructure solutions in support of current and future business needs

  • Produce a comprehensive list of deliverables, cost estimates and time estimates related to the assigned projects to facilitate effective project/initiative management

  • Effectively interface with IT PMO, architecture and service delivery teams among others in support of delivering timely, qualitative, robust and scalable solutions

  • Help partner teams determine whether a solution must be developed internally or procured from external sources

  • Assist in the determination of integration needs and design/development/solution of patterns that can be reused optimally

  • Interface with and guide software engineers and vendor partners in providing clarifications on design patterns as needed

  • Perform solution verification to ensure the solution is constructed in accordance with specifications that meet business and technical requirements

  • Oversee technology lifecycle portfolio management from conceptualization until retirement in one or more areas

  • Provide support and interface with internal and external support teams to make sure business and technical issues with applications and infrastructure are resolved timely and effectively

  • Apply professional expertise to develop key IT solutions in leading-edge or critical situations on projects, engagements and proposals of strategic significance

  • Analyze business requirements and the selection of technical solutions in very large complex, leading-edge projects and formulate technical solutions to requirements

  • Maintain an extensive understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies

  • Utilize knowledge of leading-edge products and technology in conjunction with industry and business skills to develop and implement business or technology strategies

  • Technically direct and advise others and maintain responsibility for the success of the leading-edge of critical solution construction, implementation and system integration

  • Oversee the delivery of new and highly complex high-quality solutions in response to unique business requirements

  • Maintain a clear vision and full understanding of IT overall strategies and contribute to policy making

  • Influence senior business personnel, including senior executive management, when issues are unique, complex and difficult

  • Foster and engage in teamwork at the highest management and technical levels

  • Mentor Solutions team members, as planned in Individual Development Plans

  • Ensure proper recognition and application of security requirements

  • Develop products or technology strategies with senior level review

  • Implement product or technology strategies with approval

  • Take responsibility for a significant area of work including technical, financial and quality aspects

  • Establish organizational objectives and delegate responsibilities

  • Develop influential relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers and partners at senior management level, including industry leaders

  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of IT strategy

  • Advise on available standards, methods, tools and applications and make appropriate choices from alternatives

  • Analyze requirements and advise on scope and options for continuous operational improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another technical field

  • 7 years of experience working in IT

  • Experience of SDLC methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall

  • Demonstrated experience of creativity and innovation in applying solutions for the benefit of the customer or stakeholder

  • Proven ability to facilitate collaboration between stakeholders who have diverse objectives

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent business analyst skills

  • Strong work knowledge of tools like MuleSoft, ETL Informatica, Data Stage

  • Strong work knowledge of MFT tools like Tibco, MQ-FTE and B2B tools like SBI (Sterling Business Integrator) and Axway

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Broad understanding of all aspects of IT and deep understanding of own specialism

  • Ability to effectively influence leadership

  • Ability to manage own work time and priorities in accordance with aggressive timelines and budgets

  • Ability to assess and evaluate risk while understands the implications of new technologies

  • Ability to absorbs complex technical information and communicates effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • High level of attention to detail

  • High level of EQ
