POSITION OVERVIEW:

Market Equipments rapid expansion requires top tier talent and is seeking a Business Analyst Intern to support our growth. This position is based in Spokane, WA.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILIES:

  • Demonstrable analytical capabilities, superior communication skills, experience in conducting research, and a strong fundamental level of corporate finance and accounting knowledge
  • CRM system management to support sales operations and customer service management
  • Market Sizing and Competitive Market Analysis of prospective areas of operation
  • Financial analysis of current and prospective business segments
  • Proactive in seeking clarification regarding deliverables and timeframes

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Business/STEM major who is currently enrolled in school and graduating next Spring
  • Must be dependable and able to work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year
  • Possess a technical aptitude and have intermediate/advanced Excel skills
  • Analytical, organized and a quick learner

Incumbents will be responsible for understanding the needs of multiple stakeholders, and clearly communicating these requirements to IT, the Project Management Office, and other facilitators and partners. IT Business Analysts are responsible for designing and documenting work flow, and providing process improvement, and/or solutions to a business unit's ideas, trends, and concepts, in line with the Bank's strategic vision. Essential Functions: * Responsible for understanding the business processes of the business units they support. * Provides business process analysis and recommendations to assigned business units. * Maintains overall knowledge of general banking practices and business unit functions. * Assists the business units on application of the WTB vendor management process as well as actively participating in the management of the IT vendors in their area of concentration. * Manages technical projects within assigned business units by following the WTB project management methodology. * Reviews and discusses software release notes with the business unit(s) they support on all major software applications assigned. Documents new features available in software upgrades, and includes an explanation for features enabled or not enabled. * Coordinates upgrades with assigned Technical Analyst, or may perform upgrades as needed. * Acts as the primary business unit liaison for assigned production application systems. * Collaborates with business units in the creations of business cases and project requests. * Identifies opportunities to improve application utilization. * Works with business units in support of audit/compliance reviews. * Assists with special projects or duties as assigned. * Regular, reliable attendance is required. * Performs compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in MIS, Business Administration or related field desired. * Functional knowledge of the usage and functions of network operating systems, relational database technologies, application architectures (thin client computing, client server systems, web-based systems). * Functional knowledge of or work experience within supported business unit(s). * Strong communication skills; ability to analyze, synthesize and articulate complex ideas into layman's terms to multiple levels of the organization; technical writing skills as needed for documentation. * Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with and work effectively with diverse groups of people. * Proven ability to utilize office automation tools to create efficient processes and procedures within the job function and with users as needs arise. * Ability to work additional hours as required by operational and production work loads.
