This business role is responsible for the business processanalysis, definition, testing, configuration, implementation, training andsupport of SUPERVALU's procurement, merchandising and pricing systems. Thisposition develops solutions to complex problems requiring independent judgmentand ingenuity to identify new and re-engineer existing business processes andsystems, enabling increased business efficiency and profitable growth. Thisposition acts as a business user-information resource by managing help deskduties to support the users who routinely access SUPERVALU businessapplications.
Job Responsibilitiesand Accountabilities:
Assist in the elicitation, analysis,documentation, and validation of business needs, requirements, and to-beprocesses using interviews, workshops, and presentations.
Prioritizes business requirements for IT team. Validatesthat IT solutions designed will meet businesss requirements.
Facilitates User Acceptance Testing.
Serves as information resource for businessapplication end-users; assists in training delivery to end users.
Develops training content prior toimplementation. Assists in providing support to business users during and postimplementation.
Assists in developing communication content tobusiness users during the project phase.
Participates in team building and self-drivenskill development through active involvement in appropriate training andmentoring programs.
Consults with subject matter experts and projectteam members to develop potential business and system solutions.
Manage and tracks business needs statusthroughout the project or initiative.
Communicates issues and risks related tobusiness processes to project, IT and business unit management and help resolverelated conflicts.
Establishes good working relationships with ITand service teams.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management,Business Systems Administration, Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics or relatedfields.
3-5 years of relevant experience required.
Broad experience in merchandising andprocurement functions preferred.
Ability to communicate business and technicalinformation in simple terms (both verbally and in presentation) and succinctlyarticulate issues to mid- and senior level managers and to be persuasive inmaking recommendations.
Process oriented i.e. understanding therationale behind them, when to follow and when to adapt them.
Experience in process design and proceduraldevelopment a plus.
Ability to solve complex problems usinganalytical frameworks.
Ability to learn specialized software products.
Basic understanding of computer database designand web based technologies is preferred.
Attention to detail and quality controlessential.
Ability to handle confidential information in asecure and protected environment.
Ability to travel 10-20% of the time whenrequired.
