Business Analyst II will support the operations and management team by providing timely and accurate reporting for internal and external clients, creating and improving process workflows, participating in optimizing existing processes and identifying and implementing new automation opportunities.

Principal Duties:

  • Work closely with Management to develop and maintain business performance reports and dashboards

  • Provide analytical support to various business groups and external clients.

  • Validate processes and controls through data analysis.

  • Assist management with review of existing business processes to identify automation opportunities

  • Create Ad-Hoc reporting

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or Economics

  • 3+ years writing SQL queries and extracting data from databases to be used in analysis

  • 3+ years of experience creating reports and validating analysis

  • Detail oriented with ability to accurately gather and analyze data. Proven history of solving problems and improving processes, increasing efficiency, and thinking creatively.

  • Proven track record in building and maintaining Ad-Hoc reports

  • Excellent negotiation and customer skills with both internal and external customers

  • Excellent computer skills, including use of all Office applications

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to handle stress and multiple projects with competing interests for time

  • Ability to organize and manage projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in default mortgage servicing or banking preferred

  • SSRS experience

  • UAT experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Business Analyst Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems; or other closely related field, plus four (4) years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Sr. Business Analyst Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems; or other closely related field, plus six (6) years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Certified in at least one of the following certification types: * PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) * PMP (Project Manager Professional) * PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision. * Clearly identifies project stakeholders and establishes user classes, and characteristics. * Gathers user requirements via interviews, workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods. * Identifies, establishes, and documents scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics. * Works with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements. * Evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develops strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes. * Assists in conducting research on software and hardware products to meet agreed-upon requirements and support purchasing efforts. * Participates in the QA of purchased solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized. * Participates in the selection of requirements documentation software solutions as needed. * Analyzes and verifies technical requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards. * Develops and utilizes standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications. * Translates conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team. * Develops prototypes of interfaces and attributes based on user requirements as needed. * Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team. * Develops and conducts peer reviews of business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted. * Assists with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options, and communicates options back to stakeholders. * Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforces and redefines as necessary. * Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders. * Provides guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members. * Operates within the guidelines set forth by Enterprise Architecture.
