The Business Analyst II responsible for delivering quality customer service and performing daily task management and support.
The areas of responsibilities include completion of assigned tasks to integrate acquisitions, implement application software, and maintain existing applications. In addition they maintain existing documentation for system processes and procedures.
This position must coordinate and communicate with other IS resources who are assigned to support application issues and project tasks. They also work with vendors on application issues and act a liaison between users and vendors to develop requests for additional reports and/or features. This position primarily works independently and routinely interacts with more senior business contacts.
Often, the Business Analyst II will be assigned to larger and more complex projects and are subject matter experts for their assigned systems. The Business Analyst II reports to the Lead/Manager.
Completion of assigned tasks to integrate hospital acquisitions, implement application software, and maintain existing applications.
Maintain awareness of the rapidly changing environment and recommend cost efficient techniques
Provide support to projects related to critical hospital applications
Creating new and maintain existing documentation for system processes and procedures
Testing application functionality with the ability to develop and complete test cases
Coordinate and communicate with other IS resources who are assigned to support application issues and project tasks
Manages, reviews and prioritizes project work plans in coordination with Project Manager/Scrum Master to assure alignment on schedule, resources and deliverables
Ability to work with software vendors to resolve issues, assist with root cause analysis and determine action plans for corrections
Coordinate and maintain project plans across multiple teams
BS or BA in information systems, business administration or related field or equivalent education and experience
5+ years of experience in Business Analysis and ensuring successful integration and/or implementation of large scale applications
Experience in definition and documentation of requirements for system processes and procedures
Proficient in understanding and applying build techniques and configuration of application software
Able to independently, or with little guidance, plan and facilitate meetings both internal and external, create and disseminate an agenda and coordinate all necessary follow-ups
Able to independently manage and prioritize workload and expectations
Great customer service skills and the energy to provide direction to those among your team
Superior ability to collaborate with team and business operators
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to overcome initial barriers
Strong knowledge and experience in standard methodologies for the completion of tasks within an Agile environment
Independently seeks opportunities to lead or take on more responsibility
Experience working in a team environment contributing to project coordination and project management activities
Demonstrated ability to work with software vendors to resolve issues, assist with root cause analysis and determine action plans for corrections
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate new software/application concepts to other IT members
Experience working with Team Foundation Server (TFS) and ServiceNow
Demonstrated experience working in Health Care IT environment
Willingness to periodically travel
