Business Analyst II

The preferred location for this position is Virginia Beach, VA,

but candidates from Denver, CO, Indianapolis, IN, Midland, GA,

Nashville, TN, Richmond, VA, Tampa, FL

and Las Vegas, NV will also be considered.

The Business Analyst II translates basic business needs into application software requirements. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes business needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.

  • Determines specific business application software requirements to address specific business needs.

  • Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.

  • Acts as liaison with users of the software to address questions/issues.

  • Requires a BS/BA degree

  • 3-5 years related business analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Agile and Telephony experience is preferred.

This position requires outstanding Pashto/Dari written communication skills, as well as strong English communication and writing skills, and the ability to write and edit reports. This position will require participation in 24/7 on-call work schedules as per customer direction and the candidate selected must be willing and able to work those hours as needed. Participation in both normal business hours and on-call schedules will rotate based on client-driven requirements. The selected applicant will read, analyze, and draft communications regarding regional and ideological discussions in specified foreign language media environments. The analyst will develop and maintain close familiarity with designated regional issues and be able to draw upon publicly available online information resources. The analyst will analyze current media statements or postings to predict trends and identify key communicators. The analyst will demonstrate high-level reading and writing capability in the assigned language, incorporate custom social media solutions to understand online environments and communicate trends effectively. The analyst may assist in operations planning. Working knowledge of online social media and different technologies is required. The analyst will keep documentation such as notes, informative papers, and/or white papers written in English. Some travel may be required. Required Experience * Bachelor's degree, military intelligence training or equivalent experience. * Minimum 3 years of related experience * Outstanding Pashto/Dari communication and writing skills (ILR 3 or higher for native speakers; 2+ or higher for heritage speakers). * Knowledge of regional politics, militant/extremists groups, current affairs, etc. * Strong English communication and writing skills. * Demonstrated experience (personal or professional) using social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. * Aptitude to learn and utilize new software capabilities. * US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
