Business Analyst II IT Laboratory/EHS Services
This position is a cross department role within Global Information Services (GIS) to support the Biological Safety Laboratory and the Employee Health & Safety programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Daily management of project activities and deliverables.
Partners with Quality Assurance, IT, and plant operations staff on a regular basis to understand and prioritize business IT demand.
Provide IT services, compliant with manufacturing and laboratory standards (ISO, Title 21 CFR Part 11).
Responsible for ensuring overall system health and availability.
Provides status reports and notifies management of ongoing/unresolved issues, escalations, and ongoing trends.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree required; preferably in CS / MIS or STEM related field.
At least two years of experience within IT or Engineering/Quality/Laboratory required.
Prior Pharma or Medical Device industry a plus.
Prior experience with LIMS and SAP a plus.
Prior experience with validated systems preferred (IQ/OQ/PQ).
Experience managing software & hardware configurations preferred.
Experience managing projects and deliverables preferred.
Experience developing organized and clear documentation preferred.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
In depth knowledge of several business functions and related software applications. SAP or Oracle preferred.
Experience with process improvement techniques and tools. Lean or Six Sigma preferred.
Understanding of the major functions in a global organization.
Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
Ability to work comfortably at all levels within the organization up to the senior management level.
PC servers, workstations and laptops. Telecommunication equipment, cell phones and smart phones. Microsoft and Apple environment. Work with standard current computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets and data bases. MS Office, SQL server, Active Directory, MS Exchange, ERP and partner software applications.
