Position Title: Business Analyst II

Location: Dallas, Texas

Position Responsibilities:

Support senior management by managing metrics reporting and performing data mining and big data analysis to provide strategic advice on business forecast models. Collect business use cases, research and evaluate opportunities to help Amazon leverage its data to support business functions through complicated mathematical modeling.

Analyze forecast and metrics data. Automate reports for promotional and project launch campaigns. Utilize database technologies, including SQL, ETL, and Oracle to design, develop, and evaluate highly innovative business intelligence tools and automated reports for campaign targeting and optimization.

Create dashboards using Tableau and/or Quicksight to transform big data to actionable insight. Transform complicated business problems into mathematics modeling and provide data-driven solutions. Perform statistical analysis, including clustering, cross-session and panel data regression using R, SAS, STATA, and SPSS. Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation.

40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $74,300/year to $130,100/year.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or as a Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Miner, or a related occupation. Must have two years of experience in the following skill(s): (1) processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources; (2) using SQL or ETL; (3) developing automated reporting; and (4) creating dashboards in Tableau, Quicksight or equivalent platform. Partial telecommuting permitted; employees will be required to report to office multiple days per week. #0000
