As a Business Analyst Iyou will serve as liaison between the IT Configuration team andoperational units. You will gather detailed requirements andspecifications from users, assist in the design and development oftechnical solutions, and ensure the technical solutions meet the user'sneeds. This role is responsible for the set-up and administration ofapplication data configurations as well as the establishment andconfiguration of process flows in LHI's internal information system tohelp users improve efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Elicit,vet, and document business requirements, from user groups and projectstakeholders, for software and reporting updates, and configurationchanges

  • Createbacklog of items by documenting business requirements and translatinginto technical specifications for software, SQL reporting, and systemconfiguration changes

  • Contributeto various projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives ina support role in a system/subject matter expert (SME) role

  • Assist inthe maintenance of administrative and customer configuration rules andcodes as well as set-up and configuration for all other entities andfunctional areas of LHI's applications

  • Assist in the maintenance of report templates, document templates and keep current

  • Provide escalation path for MedNet "help desk" and answer user questions as needed

  • Research and document issues/bugs before reporting these to developers

  • Provide On-Call MedNet support on designated weekends and/or business needs determine

  • Assist in testing new system functionally before it is implemented to ensure it meets business and user requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)

  • Experience in business analysis and/or gathering business requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel (basic navigation; data manipulation);Word (create and edit documents); Outlook (manage emails; calendaring)

  • Experience with complex concepts of software setup, configuration andcustomization, especially the relationships between database tables

  • US Citizenship

  • Ability to obtain favorable adjudication following submission of DefenseHealth Agency eQuip Form SF86

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher)

  • Experience with Structured Query Language, MS SQL Server, or otherrelational databases

  • Understanding of Agile principles and software development methodologies

  • Experience with Microsoft Visio (workflow diagrams)

  • National Career Readiness Certificate

  • Understanding of complex database structures and relationships (tables,joins, key fields)

  • Ability to understand complex business processes that cross manyfunctional operational units

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to perform routine and repetitive application setup tasks

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
