We are based in Norwood, Massachusetts, which is comfortably within the Boston metropolitan area. HMF's facilities include a state-of-the-art plant, and R&D facility, as well as warehouse and Corporate functions.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Business Analyst will operate as a member of the HMF Business Applications team, interacting directly with business users during both support and project activities. The incumbent will contribute to the improvement of system support, system development and project deployment processes by embracing a culture of operational excellence and delivery focus.

The objective of the Business Analyst is supporting HMF ERP to ensure performance is stable and in line with operational service levels; the Business Analyst will also participate to project activities, performing design, configuration, integration, testing and training tasks to ensure project delivery meets and exceeds time and quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Process Analysis: Understands HMF operational process flows and related NAV system capabilities. Works with HMF business teams to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and speed of internal operations by improving process and/or system capabilities.

Operational Support: The role will ensure operational service levels for the HMF systems are met by addressing 1st level and 2nd level support tickets related to user requests or system alerts.

The HMF Analyst will work independently to troubleshoot and solve system issues, as well as design, configure and test application enhancements and system reports. The incumbent will define task priorities according to severity levels and schedule work accordingly. She/he will update status and progress of tickets and requests, updating users accordingly.

Project Implementation: The role will participate (and lead depending on project size) in project deployment activities, performing design, configuration, integration, testing and training tasks to ensure project delivery meets and exceeds time and quality standards.

She/he will provide training to business users, including, but not limited to, navigation through screens and data processes. The analyst will work with users and the rest of the Business Applications team to confirm project delivery and transition to on-going support.

Continuous Improvement: The Business Analyst will work with the rest of the Business Applications team to identify opportunities to improve ways of working and procedures, proposing changes which result in more efficient and more agile support performance and project delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (or equivalent work experience).

  • NAV or ERP experience/training/certification is a plus.

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in system support, development and deployment.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as NAV, SAP, Oracle.

  • Experience in CPG/ Food Manufacturing is a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and facilitation skills. Ability to communicate with users having different levels of experience.

  • Self-sufficient and capable to work independently, with attention to detail and capability to multi-task.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
