About the Opportunity:

As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in gathering and writing requirements, conducting market and competitive analysis, and supporting the product lifecycle. Your insights and analytical skills will help shape the development and implementation of new tools, platforms, and products. Experience in Asset, Investment, or Wealth Management is a plus. This role involves close collaboration with small, agile teams and directly supporting our product lead.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily activities, working sessions, issue resolution, and communication across project and support teams in order to deliver projects and enhancements on time, on-budget, as requested.

  • Analyze and evaluate data gathered from multiple sources and distinguish user requests from underlying true needs.

  • Elicit business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques including but not limited to interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, use cases, scenarios, business process, task and workflow analysis.

  • Collaborate with business process owners to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve product, service and business processes.

  • Engage with project stakeholders and motivate project team members toward common goals and objectives.

  • Prioritize and translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications.

  • Coordinate the development of all approved versions of business and functional specifications and review use cases and other documents with IT and the business to ensure all requirements are adequately reflected.

  • Maintain project schedules and tracking life cycle phases; provide timely project status reporting back to stakeholders and project team members

  • Assist in roll-out strategy as an active participant in user training and post production support needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, preferably within the Asset, Investment, or Wealth Management industry.

  • 3-5 years' experience translating business needs into functional business requirements.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in creating detailed documentation and requirements.

  • Experience with product lifecycle management is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Asset, Investment, and Wealth Management industries is a plus.

  • Proficient in using business analysis tools and software.

  • Ability to work effectively in small, agile teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and software.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
