Business Analyst

Stuller, Inc. is the largest jewelry manufacturing and distribution facility in the United States and a leading figure in both domestic and international jewelry markets. The position of Business Analyst is pivotal in leveraging data reporting and analytics to drive strategic initiatives and enhance decision-making processes across the company. Reporting to the Senior Director of Enterprise Analytics, the Business Analyst will develop and refine data reporting tools, perform complex analysis to extract actionable insights, and support the integration of analytics into all facets of the organization to strengthen market position and drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain advanced MicroStrategy reporting solutions and dashboards, focusing on enhancing data visibility, tracking key performance indicators, and extracting actionable insights for business leaders and departmental stakeholders.

• Create visually compelling data visualizations and presentations to communicate analytical findings to stakeholders at all levels, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on data analysis tools and reporting platforms, offering training and support to empower end-users with self-service analytics capabilities, and conducting ad-hoc analyses to address specific business questions or challenges.

• Work collaboratively across teams to assess data and reporting needs, facilitate requirements gathering sessions, and develop enterprise-wide solutions that align with business objectives, stakeholder requirements, and organizational goals.

• Conduct data acquisition, preparation, and validation using SQL queries in Snowflake, addressing data integrity issues in partnership with relevant teams to ensure data reliability and quality for reporting and analysis purposes.

• Utilize advanced analytical techniques, including predictive modeling and regression forecasting, to analyze business trends, seasonal patterns, and perform ROI analyses on strategic projects, integrating industry insights for optimization and decision support.

• Document analysis methodologies, findings, and project requirements to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and effective knowledge sharing, while also utilizing project management tools like Jira for clear task organization and resource allocation.

• Engage in professional development to grow skillsets such as Python, R programming, machine learning techniques, and data science applications, contributing to the organization's growth and innovation in the jewelry industry and beyond.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of company operations, data architecture, and the jewelry industry to effectively align analytical efforts with strategic objectives and ensure seamless integration of analytical processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, or a similar field, accompanied by professional experience that demonstrates strong analytical capabilities and practical knowledge in data analysis and business intelligence.

• In lieu of a degree, at least 3 years of progressive professional experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and develop meaningful business insights.

• Proficiency in SQL or similar query languages, data manipulation tools, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent communication skills and a comprehensive understanding of data visualization to enhance insights.

• Strong focus on detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate data analysis and reporting.

• Agile in problem-solving with a curious, continuous learning and development mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional coursework, specializations, or certifications in data analytics or business intelligence and other relevant technical areas.

• Additional professional experience in data analysis or business intelligence, with a track record of progressive learning and responsibility in the field.

• Experience with Python or R is favorable. Familiarity with analytics platforms like MicroStrategy or similar tools, especially those involving data modeling for predictive analytics.

• Candidates who have led small projects or teams and have a strong propensity for innovation and strategic thinking in previous roles.
