Purchasing Power one of the fastest growing specialty e-retailers is seeking a Business Analyst, Finance and Risk to join our team in Midtown, Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities:

  • Consistently perform thorough analyses of consumer credit portfolio

  • Identify early stage credit risk factors and report the findings

  • Develops and maintains financial models to support existing forecasting, internal and external financial reports, and other related projects as needed.

  • Analysis should encompass financials variances and the identification of main risk metrics

  • Recommend changes/improvement for the credit processes.

  • Develop and analyze database pertaining to the credit function to predict pattern and trends.

  • Create forecasting models to enhance portfolio management strategies

  • Work with cross functional teams to develop and implement necessary tools to ensure credit collections efforts are kept in line with the company goals

  • Assist in the preparation of executive, board level and investor/banking presentations.

  • Support revenue and profit analysis as well as overall business performance analysis

  • Perform special projects as requested

Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform predictive and prescriptive analytics to support growth of revenue and profits.

  • Perform analysis across departments and lines of business to determine effective use of resources.

  • Develop and maintain models and analyses to aid in the validation of existing forecasts; support strategic initiatives and help review critical financial decisions; support internal and external financial and management reporting including investor and banking relations.

  • Develop reports to help Investigate, analyze and evaluate the financial risk/reward of credit extended to existing and potential customers.

  • Develop advanced statistical models to predict the creditworthiness or riskiness of consumers utilizing advanced modeling techniques / methodology and comprehensive data structure.

  • Prepare financial modeling for acquisition or merger opportunities, new business development, cost saving projects, capital expenditure evaluation, competitive analyses, and channel, broker, customer and product profitability.

  • Assist in the preparation of executive, board level, investor and research analyst presentations.

  • Design or assist the design of credit programs with advanced mathematical or statistical functions that can maximize revenue while minimizing loss.

  • SAS or SQL programming with the ability to run SAS / SQL programs to extract information and generate files for external vendor including email and letters.

  • Generate reports and prepare daily, weekly, monthly reports for cross functional teams; Create new reports on need basis

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related field. (advanced degree preferred)

  • 2 years of relevant analyst and reporting experience

  • E-Commerce or other Retailing experience preferred

  • Experience with a Financial Planning tool such as Adaptive, Host or IBM Analytics desirable

  • Experience with Oracle Financials a plus

  • Experience is SAS programming

  • SQL experience is a plus

  • Cash Management and cash forecasting experience a plus

  • Proven problem-solving, conceptual thinking, and analytical abilities

  • Strong process and project management abilities

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines

  • Experience leading by example through business and organizational change

  • Solid relationship building skills to work effectively across all areas of the business
