This position designs, develops, implements and maintains business solutions. The incumbent works directly with stakeholders to identify requirements and manage end-to-end projects. The Business Analyst role supports the department in evaluation and implementation of methods to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and keep projects and tasks on schedule.

A successfull candidate will have previous Business Analyst experience, especially related to Operations and Enrollment within a Health Insurance Carrier.

Responsibilities

  • Collects project requirements to develop detailed functional specifications and project plans

  • Provides suggestions and guidance during development stage in order to meet business needs

  • Meets regularly with the team to facilitate and prioritize multiple projects

  • Prepares accurate and detailed reports including specifications, timelines, status and individual responsibilities

  • Creates monthly status and statistical reports and strategic presentations for senior leaders

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once

  • Ability to analyze and document complex business processes

  • Ability to think analytically and offer guidance to the team regarding business solutions

  • Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information

  • Ability to prepare written and verbal communications for projects

  • Working knowledge of PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications

  • Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills.

QualificationsQualificationsRequired

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalency

  • Two years of applicable experience

EO/AA The incumbent serves as a leader with overall responsibility for software analysis and design, application and system installation and implementation; formulates system scope and design objectives through analysis and research to configure vendor maintained systems or develop or modify in house systems. Responsibilities * Participates in meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, change, communications, and updates. Presents on project and operational updates as requested. * Ensures quality outcome and assesses integrated impact. Comprehends complex instructions and is competent in assigned applications. Performs routine system maintenance tasks as needed. * Resolves incidents and work orders work according to agreed upon SLA's and assigned timelines. Completes project tasks on time with quality outcomes. Mentors junior analysts with issue resolution and routine build tasks. * Documents data elements, data movement, interfacing applications and shared data elements. Develops process controls, implements security processes for supported applications. Comprehension of application integration points and master files. * Builds, tests, and troubleshoot complex application settings / features with minimal guideance. Analysis considers IT standards, technical requirements and ensures the system meets business requirements. Documents complete testing plans to validate system build. * Performs intake of information regarding potential system enhancements. Researches and analyzes new functionality including alternative solutions and recommends options to stakeholders and governance for prioritization and approval. Assists with all aspects of implementation lifecycle. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities * Must be a technical expert in areas subject matter demonstrated by documented experience in analysis, process design and workflow, research, installation/implementation and support of software applications and systems. * Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work under high stress conditions in a changing environment * Flexibility in accepting assignments, including on call and overtime activities * Organizational and analytical skills, ability to prioritize * Strong technical management and technical problem resolution skills * Knowledge of operational healthcare hospital workflows. * Knowledge of system configuration, data tools and concepts, techniques, industry best practices, tools and standards. * Proficient in executing application build and testing for assigned applications. Qualifications Qualifications Required * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology or Equivalent. * Six years in programming and systems analysis with proven prior experience in systems application process and workflow analysis. * Advance SQL and PL/SQL skills.
