The Driver Onboarding team's mission is to get every driver applicant through the funnel in a friction free way by making it easier than ever to get on the road. Our team is heavily cross functional as we sit in the intersection between Product, Marketing, Ops and Driver Support. We are split into two primary teams, one focused on a concierge onboarding experience for the driver and the other focused on making sure all systems are functioning according to plan.

As key team member on the Driver Onboarding team, you'll own work streams, analyses, modeling, strategy, and business metrics that drives the growth of new drivers to Lyft's platform. We are looking for analytical talent to provide insights and actionable recommendations that will improve the driver onboarding experience and help our team make better business decisions.


  • Develop frameworks and deliver analyses to guide decision-making and ruthless prioritization across functions

  • Uncover new areas of opportunity and leverage to scale our Driver onboarding program

  • Manage, build and automate models and reporting to provide regional and national teams with actionable insights on volume, efficiency, and driver experience

  • Present findings, recommendations, and results to senior leadership

Experience & Skills:

  • Ability to independently break down large datasets and synthesize inputs from multiple sources

  • Advanced financial and scenario modeling skills

  • Strong product and user experience sense

  • Ability to craft a compelling story and concisely present recommendations across teams and levels

  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate and inspire others in a matrixed environment

  • Excellent organization, planning skills, and attention to detail

  • Balance between intellectual curiosity and the desire to roll up your sleeves and execute

  • 3+ years experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or equivalent analytical role in a high growth startup

  • BA in Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering. MBA a plus

  • Proficiency in SQL or a desire to learn

Department Description The Faculty Practice Business Operations and Analytics (FPBA) group is responsible for managing the data and analytics relating to UCSF Health's Physician Organizations. Our mission is to develop systems, tools and process that support the business intelligence and analytics needs of the Faculty Practice Organization and Ambulatory Operations. We do this by providing integrated, authoritative and accurate information which is delivered and/or published for our customers through standard reports, system data interfaces, and self-service business intelligence tools. This group is responsible for fostering and maintaining a comprehensive analytics and reporting environment, ensuring that UCSF Health has the analytic and reporting tools to support decision making. This includes the responsibility for managing the operational and analytical tasks relating to the clinical funds flow agreement between the UCSF Health System and the School of Medicine. With the newly formed strategic alliance between UCSF Health and Marin General, a new funds flow process to support the physician work will be added to the scope of responsibility of the FPBA group. This position interacts with Faculty Practice Finance, UCSF Health Strategic Support, Ambulatory Practice Leadership, Revenue Cycle Operations, and Clinical Department MSOs and analysts. Job Summary The ongoing development and operation of clinical funds flow processes requires an individual with a wide range of skills including program management, database programming, reporting and analysis. The Faculty Practice Business Analytics (FPBA) group is seeking a qualified business intelligence professional with proven experience in in these areas. This position will report to the Director of the Business Operations and Analytics within the Faculty Practice Administration organization. The position will be responsible for data modeling, development of stored procedures, report writing, and functional documentation in support of the Prima Medical Foundation clinical funds flow process. The incumbent will provide reporting and analysis support for the faculty practice administration and ambulatory operations using the FPBA DART data mart and the DART BI platform. The data accessible through DART is critical to the operations of not only the FPO offices, but of the School of Medicine and UCSF Health System departments that utilize this resource. Required Qualifications * Minimum three years relevant experience * Bachelor's degree in related field, with work in a quantitative discipline * Hands-on experience and expertise in writing and executing complex T-SQL or PL/SQL queries to extract data from a both internal and external sources * Advanced knowledge of business and process analysis functions; knowledge of the design, development and application of technology and systems to meet business needs * Demonstrated advanced knowledge, skills and abilities associated with system problem identification and resolution; knowledge necessary to design, set up, operate and correct malfunctions involving technology systems; experience in incident response and digital forensics, including data collection, examination and analysis * Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of how system management actions affect other systems, system users and dependent / related functions * Experience in data integration and the specification of data services; ability to understand and model complex * Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner * Ability to address complex, nebulous reporting and analysis problems with originality and creativity.
