Concept Solutions is seeking a Business Analyst to provide high-level analytical and strategic support to a federal agency. This position will assist in planning, developing, and implementing program procedures while ensuring they align with federal regulations and agency goals. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements. While the position is remote, flexibility to support and participate in occasional in-person meetings in Washington DC is required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Gather and document requirements in support of the program

  • Develop and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Provide support to the customer with project planning and ensuring the program remains on track with its goals, objectives, and tasks

  • Create and manage project schedules and other project planning materials

  • Analyze business objectives and develop solutions to solve business issues

  • Analyze and define business processes to recommend improvements and resolve potential gaps

  • Identify, analyze, and document business requirements and delivers work products throughout the project life cycle

  • Analyze the entire business, including data, goals, process, and organization, and assist in developing strategic goals

  • Use process improvement, reengineering methodologies, and automated methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects

  • Analyze the entire business, including data, goals, process, and organization and assists in developing strategic goals

  • Responsible for transitioning existing organizations or project teams in accomplishing the organization's goals or project activities and objectives through improved use of the internet and other automated processes

  • Support activity and data modeling, development of modern business methods, identification of best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements.

  • Provide group facilitation, interviewing, training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer

  • Gather and decompose requirements from the customer into detailed user stories to support planning

  • Assist in coordinating and providing meeting support for government and stakeholders, tracking major milestone initiatives, developing work plans, supporting project management activities, and developing briefing presentations

  • Identify and track successful activities against requirement metrics detailed in various documentation

  • Review and comment on various policies, documents, reports, briefings, and correspondence

  • Develop and prepare agendas, schedules, materials, and mailing for projects and/or meetings

  • Handle all logistics and planning related to various meetings/events; follow up on key tasks/outcomes

  • Provide support during meetings, including audio/visual set-up, document/material preparation, note taking, developing meetings summary, etc.

  • Support and interface with high-level government program representatives on program issues

  • Act as a writer for documentation to include, but not limited to, reports and summaries

  • Act as an editor and review all material prior to submission to the customer

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business management, computer science, economics, finance, information systems, information technology, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or business administration is required

  • Must live in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area (DC/Maryland/Virginia)

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of directly related work experience in government (preferred) or private industry is required

  • Previous work with the FAA is strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of the National Airspace System (NAS) and Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) a plus

  • Interagency experience or familiarity working with diverse organizations to reach a common objective

  • Experience with SOP development is required

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and project management/scheduling software (Microsoft Project)

  • Knowledge of data and documentation management a plus

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Be able to work without supervision

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

  • Experience tracking and monitoring data, reports, and other information

  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing

  • Experience drafting status reports

  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass a Background Investigation check
