Job Description
We are looking for an Advanced Business Analyst to perform business and detailed systems analysis activities and tasks. This position will be a full-time contract and onsite in Tallahassee, FL.
What You'll Do
The activities the candidate will be tasked with include, but are not limited to, the following:
Research and understand business processes and their inter-relationships.
Research and understand the Materials Acceptance and Certification (MAC) system
Facilitate joint analysis workshops with the business units
Gather and document business and technical requirements
Coordinate and lead the activities of the development team
Collaborate with the technical and functional teams to develop technical specifications and other documents in support of the Identity Administration and Governance solution
Coordinate data migration and development teams
Create detailed use cases, business rules, and requirements
Develop and execute Test Plans and Test Cases
Coordinate and oversee the User Acceptance Testing and Regression Testing
Track bugs and backlog items using Microsoft DevOps
Provide daily updates to the Project Management Team
What You'll Do
Work across multiple business units to perform business and detailed systems analysis activities and tasks
Provide oversight for development team activities
Work directly with subject matter experts (SME) and other stakeholders to ensure requirements are thoroughly documented, tested, and achieved
Analyze, design, implement, and test solutions in concert with other team members
Perform oversight reviews of deliverables for compliance with department standards
Required:
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or other related field. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the educational requirement
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of solid business/systems analysis experience and software development projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Advanced skills with Microsoft products: SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Projects
Preferred:
Experience working with Microsoft DevOps
Knowledge of Rules 60GG-1 - 60GG-5, Florida Administrative Code
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Experience directing and managing project resources
Experience with configuration and customization of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products
Experience with data migration
Knowledge of change and release management
Preference for candidates with knowledge of Florida Department of Transportation systems and applications
Experience working with Microsoft Power BI
Additional:
Ability to relate to stakeholders' needs, document their requirements, and perform duties in the absence of staff
Ability to receive and give constructive criticism and maintain effective work relationships with others
Ability to adjust to changing demands in a dynamic environment with diverse work assignments
Physical Demands
