Business Analyst: Small Commercial Billing

Major Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer billing experience.

  • Provides operational and analytical support to the Billing Team, Customers (Agents and Insureds), Billing Partners, Operations & Underwriting.

  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns with complex billing related projects and processes.

  • Interact with cross- functional teams from a SEM level to ensure business processes and rules are aligned, adjusting documentation accordingly.

  • Participate in process development, planning and validation through operational testing and/or requirement reviews to ensure plan changes meet business needs.

  • Perform a cross-functional role; facilitate/train business process enhancements and/or system functions to members of the billing team.

  • Investigate and perform root cause analysis.

  • Audit and recommend updates to existing methods, procedures and process documentation on an as needed bases.

  • Effectively navigate multiple systems and applications to research, analyze and resolve customer inquiries and issues.

  • Facilitates collaboration and communication across the Billing team and stakeholders.

  • Creates, organizes, and analyzes reports/information and trends to improve customer experience, forecast resource needs, understand billing payment trends, etc.

  • Completes assignments and other duties as assigned including responsibility for delegating e-mails to the team multiple times throughout the day

  • Provides backup to the Billing Manager and/or Representatives at times based on business need.

  • Provide assistance to the supervisor to ensure quality controls are in place (occasional internal audits are performed)

o Assists leadership with Quality Assurance reviews for the SC Billing Team.

o Know and comply to corporate policies, regulatory standards (SOX), internal business processes (PCI) and procedures while processing work and meeting/exceeding service performance and quality standards

  • Maintains performance standards within a fast paced environment.

  • Perform other duties as requested by leadership.

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience:

  • Billing and or Financial background preferred.

  • Commercial Insurance experience is preferred; Understanding of or ability to learn Small Commercial Insurance product and process guidelines.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities within strict time constraints.

  • Excellent organizational and collaboration skills, with the ability to multi-task.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

  • Possesses the ability to work independently to complete assignments in a timely manner.

  • Ability to work well as in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to team and departmental goals.

  • Ability to make informed decisions, achieving the appropriate results.

  • Technical domain experience with demonstrated skills in analysis, impact assessment, scoping, and documenting of complex requirements.

  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Work on-site at O'Fallon, MO Chubb Location.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

This position will reconcile all business transactions at the hotel as well as check-in and resolve any guest problems. What You Will Be Doing: * Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests. Issues room key and gives directions. * Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts * Ensures all paperwork is completed from the Front Desk and F&B computer systems. * Closes out the day for both the Front Desk and F&B computer systems. * Runs reports for the previous day's business. * Makes, confirms, and cancels reservations * Handles accounting of money, receipts, guest accounts and credit through operation of the FD computer system and completion of reports required to ensure company funds are secure.
