Business Analyst: Small Commercial Billing
Major Duties and Key Responsibilities:
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer billing experience.
Provides operational and analytical support to the Billing Team, Customers (Agents and Insureds), Billing Partners, Operations & Underwriting.
Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns with complex billing related projects and processes.
Interact with cross- functional teams from a SEM level to ensure business processes and rules are aligned, adjusting documentation accordingly.
Participate in process development, planning and validation through operational testing and/or requirement reviews to ensure plan changes meet business needs.
Perform a cross-functional role; facilitate/train business process enhancements and/or system functions to members of the billing team.
Investigate and perform root cause analysis.
Audit and recommend updates to existing methods, procedures and process documentation on an as needed bases.
Effectively navigate multiple systems and applications to research, analyze and resolve customer inquiries and issues.
Facilitates collaboration and communication across the Billing team and stakeholders.
Creates, organizes, and analyzes reports/information and trends to improve customer experience, forecast resource needs, understand billing payment trends, etc.
Completes assignments and other duties as assigned including responsibility for delegating e-mails to the team multiple times throughout the day
Provides backup to the Billing Manager and/or Representatives at times based on business need.
Provide assistance to the supervisor to ensure quality controls are in place (occasional internal audits are performed)
o Assists leadership with Quality Assurance reviews for the SC Billing Team.
o Know and comply to corporate policies, regulatory standards (SOX), internal business processes (PCI) and procedures while processing work and meeting/exceeding service performance and quality standards

Billing and or Financial background preferred.
Commercial Insurance experience is preferred; Understanding of or ability to learn Small Commercial Insurance product and process guidelines.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
