Business Analyst

Position Description:

CGI is seeking a Business Analyst to work with a large financial client in located Cary, NC.

The candidate must have experience with processes used to create and implement plans necessary for identifying a company's needs, delivering the best results, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

Looking for solid Business and Data Analysis experience and understanding of Banking domain with expertise in Interbank Payments.

This position will be performed in Cary, NC in a hybrid model.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Defining business requirements in consensus with the business stakeholders, collaborate with multiple stakeholders - business, technical and operational from within and outside the team to understand the requirements, provide the requirements in case of external dependencies, track and update progress on key program risks and dependencies.

• Create Functional requirement documents / User stories based on client/product owner inputs.

• Identifying and interviewing various stakeholders for a given business problem to understand business needs.

• Explain domain concepts to Development Teams.

• Collaborate with engineering team to refine, estimate, and track user-stories to completion

• Conduct user acceptance tests on the engineering output

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• At least 6 years of experience in Business and Data Analysis.

• Must have a minimum of 3 years in Banking domain with experience in Interbank Payments (SEPA, SWIFT FIN and ISO 20022 etc.,)

• Must have a broad understanding of the key business processes in (e2e) end to end payments processing, including AntiFinCrime functions, with expertise on any one of the processes

• Understanding of the critical data elements in a payment instruction with experience in any of the industry message formats

• Experience in writing SQL queries with various type of joins for data validation

• Strong SDLC experience in agile methodologies, ceremonies.

• Ability to explain domain concepts to Engineering Teams.

• Data Visualization knowledge.

• Problem-solving techniques.

• Data Extraction and Manipulation.

• Excellent team player who can functionally mentor/guide /assist/motivate team members and produce best team results.

Education: bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skills level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate for this type of position of the current range of $60,300 - $133,500.
