PURPOSE:

As the Business Analyst, your expertise will be instrumental in helping the company develop and prepare reporting and analytics to support various departments. You will collaborate with business leaders to determine current and future business reports. This role requires the ability to analyze large-scale data sets to derive business insights and identify potential issues, develops analysis plans, and collaborates with different teams in order to design, develop, generate, and validate reports, extracts, and visualizations.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Sales, FP&A, and Marketing teams to understand reporting needs including the identification of business problems, metrics and projections.

  • Assemble and maintain compelling dashboards with leading indicators and business results metrics across multiple data sources and lead conversations leveraging the tools you create.

  • Work closely with the development team members to understand, build, and support data flows.

  • Ensure quality and accuracy across analytical reports, visualizations, and reporting platforms.

  • Work with individuals to promote knowledge and self-help through analysis tools.

  • Prepare monthly operations reports and analysis for internal review.

  • Analyze past and current financial performance data.

  • Prepare reports and projections based on analyses.

  • Identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

  • Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to management.

  • Define goal metrics that enable setting targets and success tracking.

  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.

  • Maintain databases by entering, verifying, and backing up data.

  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses.

  • Increase productivity by developing automated accounting applications and coordinating information requirements.

  • Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.

  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.

  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing results as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance business analytics or related business field

  • 2+ years of business experience with experience in the following:

  • SAP ERP (T-Codes, Reports)

  • Developing Reports/Dashboards in a modern BI tool (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including expert Excel & PowerPoint skills

  • A deep understanding of operational activities and applying business analytics that improve operational and business decisions

  • Motivated self-starter, ability to initiate and drive projects to completion

  • Ability to travel as needed

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

  • Experience with determining enterprise profitability analytics

  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase, Power BI or Power Query

Development experience in Python, Ruby, or other development/scripting language is preferred. Focus includes monitoring scheduled processes and system testing validation.
