Partner with department leaders and staff to formulate and deliver exceptional business value by way of process change and project delivery. Through collaboration, discovery, and analysis understand, propose and aid in implementation of improvements to organizational projects, processes, products, and services.

Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. Document requirements, define scope and objectives, and formulate systems to parallel business strategies. May provide consultations on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manger of head of a unit/department.
1.Business analysis including working in project teams, collaborating with vendors and end users, and creating programming-ready artifacts
2.Process and system analysis of multiple concurrent development projects consisting of both internal employees and consultants/contractors both on-site and off-site while fostering a cohesive and productive work environment.
3.Drive process maturity: Implement, document, and maintain documentation or automation for business processes that are time consuming, undocumented, or need standardization
4.Work in a dynamic, collaborative, transparent manner
5.Facilitate and lead meetings that generate ideas and content for solutions
6.Orchestrate the collaboration between Product Owner, business sponsors, vendors, subject matter experts, designers, QA and development groups by removing roadblocks and fostering communication
7.Contribute in organizational transformation solutions and execution
8.Development, measurement and continuous improvement of business analysis best practices

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years business analysis or related experience required

  • Strong analytical skills, people skills and documentation skills

  • Experience with modeling business processes utilizing a variety of tools and techniques

  • Ability to understand and explain issues from both a technical and a business functional point of view

  • Demonstrated understanding and utilization of process improvement methodologies

  • Requires technical creativity and a strong understanding of information technology in a financial institution

  • Solid understanding of the role of business/functions supported

  • Exceptional problem solving skills

  • Ability to keep the long-term solution in focus while communicating and planning for risk

  • Demonstrated experience working successfully with teams to deliver software

  • Experience prioritizing competing demands and obtaining buy-in from stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflict with stakeholders; strong facilitation experience

The role provides support, guidance, and systems expertise to stakeholders on system requirements and issues. Key Areas of Responsibility * Identify and manage opportunities to improve or automate work that will result in more effective, efficient, and accurate finance processes. * Contribute ideas to the technical, process improvement, and organizational design solutions. * Work with team coworkers cross-functionally to define the project scope, outline potential solutions, assess the risk and impact of change and communicate the anticipated benefits to the organization. * Administers security, manages business configuration rules and/or table values, develops queries and reports and troubleshoots issues within various financial systems, which may include PeopleSoft Financials, Hyperion, and RevPro. * Support system development and improvements to streamline, standardize and automate internal and external reporting. Work with end users to automate financial reporting and reporting. * Support business teams through recommendation, scoping, and guidance through completion of systems and business process improvements. * Assist in providing Tier 1 support for financial systems. * Serves as a liaison between the Finance, IT and Purchasing departments. * Creates and generates ad hoc finance related reports and data analysis. * Maintains adequate internal controls and SOX compliance within the finance organization. * Creates and executes unit tests, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing. * Provides feedback and recommendations on process improvement opportunities, as well as assessing the potential impact of changes. Shares overall best practices with the finance organization. * Participates in the implementation and/or upgrade of finance applications. * Assists in the design, implementation, management and audit of finance programs, procedures, and systems. * Support additional systems utilized in the finance organization. Qualifications Education and/or Experience Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or IT * 3 years' experience with PeopleSoft, Hyperion, or RevPro, or equivalent financial software (SAP or Oracle) Other Required Qualifications * Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to technical, user personnel, and management * Solid interest and aptitude for and experience with critical, complicated analytical work and creative thinking * Must be flexible, organized and able to accurately work under time constraints and deadlines * Proven project management, planning and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to effectively document processes * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to all stakeholders including senior leadership * History of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines * Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships cross-functionally Preferred Qualifications * Application development and scripting knowledge * Knowledge of technical tools such as SQL * General knowledge of Finance, US GAAP, 606 Revenue accounting, and International * Accounting Standards (IAS) a plus * Knowledge of data conversion, import and export Job Category: Finance Job Type: Full-Time Travel Percentage: 0% CDW Vernon Hills IL
