Job Description

Enterprise Technology develops, operates, supports and advises on innovative technology used by ASU to advance discoveries and the student experience. As part of Enterprise Technology Information Security Services, the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Business Analyst will review, analyze, implement, and evaluate business systems and user needs for PeopleSoft Campus Community efforts.

Designs solutions and writes requirements specifications, develops and executes test plans, and works with technical staff to build and implement the technology solution. A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in operational excellence, a passion for building long term relationships, strategy and collaborating with cross-unit teams to build a stronger ASU.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years of experience in procedural, management or systems analysis work; OR, Six (6) years of experience in procedural, management, or systems analysis work; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/ or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

VIEW JOBS 12/2/2022 12:00:00 AM 2023-03-02T00:00 <p>The Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing business processes to gain a complete understanding of current business and system processes, identify improvements and document those improvements as business requirements (Features and User stories). The BA will work interdepartmentally, make decisions, and communicate to leadership to ensure deliverables are met. This person understands the business and ensures that there is integration between business and technology.</p><p>The Business Analyst is a major contributor to project goals by defining business objectives and requirements, establishing deadlines, monitoring milestone completion, providing timely reporting of issues that impact progress, and resolving conflicts.</p><p>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Defining and eliciting business requirements for assigned project or company initiatives</p></li><li><p>Communicate departmentally and interdepartmentally to recommend and request new concepts and/or modifications to existing workflow, system set up, tools and designs.</p></li><li><p>Identify defects and improve departmental performance by supporting quality, operation efficiency and production goals.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with business units to understand strategic goals and promote an environment conducive to creativity, change and information exchange.</p></li><li><p>Create documentation for business processes and collaborate with teams to share knowledge.</p></li><li><p>Work directly and independently with appropriate members of the department and other Healthfirst business units to understand project concepts, objectives, and approach.</p></li><li><p>requirements into smaller chunks as User Stories under the SAFe agile methodology.</p></li><li><p>Work with Information Technology department to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and solutions are presented to meet the requirements.</p></li><li><p>Analyze various types of data and processes to root cause, trend, and summarize findings. Present findings and recommend changes to address deficiencies and/or further improve and streamline performance based on analysis.</p></li><li><p>Maintains active communication on project updates with leadership; clearly identifying any project risks, dependencies or decisions that can impact the department or the overall organization.</p></li><li><p>Ability to prepare professional presentations and present to stakeholders and leaders across the organization</p></li></ul><p>Minimum Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution</p></li><li><p>2 - 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst</p></li><li><p>Experiencing defining and eliciting business requirements</p></li><li><p>Experience working with Agile in a delivery model</p></li><li><p>Experience identifying, documenting, and communicating business requirements</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to think critically and analytically</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and work with independence and initiative as well as strong ability to work closely as a team member</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in Excel and reporting functionality (pivot tables, graphs, v-lookup, etc.)</p></li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution</p></li><li><p>Experience in Health Insurance domain</p></li><li><p>Experience delivering features / User stories using Agile and/or SAFe methodology</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of accessing data using basic SQL queries</p></li></ul><p>Since we care so greatly about our employees' and members' wellbeing, Healthfirst has implemented various COVID-related health and safety requirements for our workforce.
