The Opportunity:

As a Booz Allen Business Analyst and Technology Scout, you will connect the ideas, technologies, and products of the innovation ecosystem to Government use-cases and problem sets and assist the Government in managing project portfolios. You will be responsible for rapidly researching, digesting, and distilling large amounts of data about technology trends for internal Booz Allen stakeholders and for clients. You will synthesize your findings into actionable insights while finding ways to continuously improve your research and presentation process. You will be asked to quickly learn about emerging technology ecosystems and develop thoughtful perspectives about how these technologies apply to the firm and our clients. You should be comfortable exploring ideas at an in-depth technical level and will be expected to work on fast-changing, high-visibility projects, where you will perform quantitative and qualitative analysis, assist Government leaders in managing portfolios of technology projects, interact with technology stakeholders from across a wide range of Government organizations, maintain dashboards and tracking tools, develop professional presentation materials, and communicate with senior internal and external executives.

You Have:

• 2+ years of experience with project management, technology scouting, or analysis support for government or commercial organizations

• Experience with conducting quantitative and qualitative market research, including venture funding analyses, technology analysis, market maps, competitive analyses, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analyses, and product deep dives

• Ability to assist in the day-to-day operation of portfolio management, stakeholder engagement, and documentation of technology assessment efforts, including analysis of alternatives, characterization and quantification of performance, and comprehension and development of requirements based on mission needs

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with engineering or technical work in Government or the commercial sector

• Experience in the technology ecosystems of Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning, Autonomous Systems, Clean Technologies, Immersive and Wearable Technologies, or Sensor Technologies

• Knowledge of the venture capital ecosystem, including industry-standard research and development and product development approaches

• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, to communicate expectations and deliverables effectively to clients

• Possession of excellent presentation skills, including in-person or via teleconference

• Secret clearance

• Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
