The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst.
The Business Analyst is responsible for the development, production, quality and accuracy of reporting and business analysis. They will be responsible for assessing and improving data collection and reporting needs and processes. Responsible for ensuring data quality assurance, report generation, distribution and analysis of statistics, trends, and outcomes. This position will provide focused strategic planning analytics in areas of interest to AHA Advocacy, with trends to support business decisions. Work across the senior management team of Advocacy and technology partners to translate business data requirements into dashboard and ad hoc reporting resources. The position will be responsible for providing and conducting analytics to support planning and execution of the advocacy program with an eye toward using analytics for marketing advocacy initiatives. In addition, all efforts should consider efficiencies to reduce manual and/or outdated processing, reduce errors and the need for staff dependency to access information.

Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties
Elicits reporting requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, and business analysis with department teams to identify and understand their business needs. Builds, maintains, modifies, schedules, and generates requested reports and analysis.
Assists with the automation of new and existing reports into a media that can be easily interpreted by stakeholders. Deliver training to end-users, as needed.
Delivers recurring and ad-hoc reports to support advocacy operations, internal customers and various advocacy related initiatives.
Analyzes business processes and seeks more efficient solutions using technology.
Builds and maintains analytical reports for all levels of Advocacy function. Interacts with American Heart Association internal technology staff to ensure smooth transition and ongoing monitoring of data from Association current systems (e1) and new systems that provide and inform analytics and dashboards.
Identifies, tracks, reports on and resolves data and reporting issues in a timely manner
Serves as the business owner and subject matter expert on integration of advocacy data and report design and modification.
Provides expert analysis, expertise, and guidance regarding appropriate interpretations of data
Coordinates or independently completes special projects
Works with Advocacy team to ensure quality development and testing of reports. Assists with the documentation of processes related report generation and creation.
Interacts professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Collect data to create performance benchmarks and deliver broad strategy recommendations based on cross-client trend analytics. Extract core insights from data and performance to develop optimization strategies across tactics.
Use analytics to turn data into business intelligence, making recommendations and identifying approaches to improve OKRs, MPOs, and other metrics that drive a successful Advocacy function.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related area
5 years of experience implementing and managing software packages or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated understanding of programming techniques and infrastructure, naming, and design standards
Proficient in data integration, analysis, and visualization
Ability to coordinate and prioritize workflow; establish and meet critical deadlines
Must have the ability to translate data to end-user reporting tools. Advanced skills in MS Excel and Access, Visio, PPT and Outstanding oral and written communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of and experience with reporting services and tools (Microsoft SQL, MS Dynamics, Salesforce,) databases and analytics.
Experience working with teams virtually
