POSITION SUMMARY

For the Meritain Client Management organization, this person creates and executes specific deliverables and activities as part of a team assigned for business technology needs alongside IT and other key technological areas. Key contributor to overall project success.

Fundamental Components:

  • Performs analysis and translates business needs to create high-quality Business Requirements and Functional Specifications documentation within specified time frames to solve moderately complex problems (multiple interfaces with other systems within a business unit) considering all impacted components from an end-to-end perspective.

  • Ensures end-to-end traceability of requirements is complete.

  • Applies specific functional and/or business expertise to perform assigned tasks and develop specific project deliverables.

  • Conducts impact analysis of technology changes on business processes and existing technology.

  • Competent to work with minimal supervision in a technical capacity on most phases of the business systems analysis.

  • Contributes to the review of Test Planning and Test Execution strategies.

  • Creates the appropriate User-Interface Model(s) to support projects.

  • Develops business workflow diagrams.

  • Assists in the development of data models and interface design specifications.

  • Documents, tracks, and resolves issues related to data quality.

  • Contributes to the design and mapping of data conversion strategies.

  • Participates in collaborative system and data design sessions with the user community, technical architecture resources, and development resources.

  • Internal system maintenance for Salesforce and SharePoint for the Client Management Organization

Issue resolution for the DG, Meritain Connect, Salesforce and SharePoint.

  • Adheres to APLC or AGILE project management methodology by utilizing internal procedures and tools and identifying areas for methodology improvement.

  • Develops Product Overviews, FAQs, Tool Glossaries, system training material, and system user documentation to support implementation activities.

  • Creates appropriate communication materials are documented and distributed appropriately.

  • Guides and advises less-experienced Business Analysts.

  • System training when appropriate for DG, Meritain Connect, Salesforce and SharePoint

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

  • Must possess sound knowledge of structured IT application development lifecycles, methodologies inclusive of Use Case tools.

  • Ability to successfully interact with members, medical professionals and health plan and government representatives.

  • 3+ years Business Analyst experience.

  • DG (Meritain Claims System) Experience.

  • Salesforce Experience.

EDUCATION

  • The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

The Transformation & Innovation team under DSCOE was created to lead Finance transformation work-streams as well as efforts to identify, and implement further opportunities for process innovation in the FP&A space. As a result of these process transformations, several capabilities and products were developed and introduced, including ones that enable our OpEx Management transformation. The role of Financial Analyst, OpEx Management, will be to focus specifically on evolving our OpEx analytical capabilities, which includes a planning model in TM1 and a self-service dashboard launched on Oracle Business Intelligence. This position will be part of a small and nimble Product Ownership team under DSCOE's Transformation & Innovation team. Some of the responsibilities will include: * Support launch of enhancements, features and new capabilities to further our OpEx management tools * Partner with development teams in an Agile environment to transfer wider business objectives into reality, and ensure product delivery per Roadmap * Define and develop user stories to support new enhancements, features and capabilities, and attend Agile planning meetings Required skills: * Familiarity with Agile, Product Ownership and versed with user story creation, backlog grooming, Sprint planning, etc. * Experience collaborating with development partners, working as a core member of an Agile team * Strong relationship building skills, and experience influencing key stakeholders * Highly collaborative with an exceptional customer-oriented mindset * Highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple deliverables * Strong understanding of the Amex P&L inclusive of the Financial Planning and Analysis process * Demonstrated proficiency with OBIEE, SmartView, TM1 and other finance tools * Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint * 2-4 years of relevant work experience preferred.
