Square's Account Management organization works with Square's largest merchants to grow and retain their businesses and to deliver insights to Square's product teams. Within Account Management, the Account Management Strategy and Analytics team works to optimize merchant engagement strategy, to track and grow team revenue impact, and to build scalable processes to improve team efficiency.

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for leveraging your analytical skills to guide Account Management's strategic decisions and identify areas for improvement. The ideal candidate has a passion for diving into data, synthesizing trends, and making an impact through strategic recommendations from analysis. Strong candidates possess exceptional analytical, problem solving, and communication skills and have the ability to take on a wide diversity of projects.

You Will:

  • Use data to drive analysis and actionable recommendations to shape program design and strategy

  • Perform financial analysis to inform resource investment decisions across potential and existing Account Management programs and initiatives

  • Own Account Management's core team metric development, executive-level reporting, and dashboards

  • Work closely with Account Management leadership to set performance targets and provide insight to drivers of pacing against goals

  • Drive cross-functional projects across Finance, Operations, Data Science, Customer Success, and more

You Have:

  • 2+ years of analytical experience, ideally in business operations, finance, analytics, or consulting

  • Demonstrated experience applying quantitative analysis and logical reasoning to drive business outcomes and solve problems

  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and manipulation using database (SQL) and Visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Excel, etc.)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally

  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to drive a complex project from start to finish

  • Creativity in developing new processes, analyses, and actionable recommendations

  • Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand

The New Business Development Specialist is the Account Executive responsible for prospecting and securing qualified appointments with business owners with the goal of securing new business for the television's stations and its digital products. This position is not entry level and requires that any candidates applying have had direct sales experience, training and considered proficient in growing client's businesses through knowledge of proven retail strategies. This position offers a competitive compensation plan and is a key position within the sales department. Essential Duties And Responsibilities This individual will possess proven sales skills and has the experience and understanding of the retail marketing side of small businesses. The candidate will be fearless in the pursuit of new business. This position will report to the Local Sales Management team and will be responsible for achieving aggressive revenue goals across all our platforms including our television station and digital platforms. * Implements strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals. * Establishes credible relationships with local business community. * Makes sales calls on existing and prospective clients. * Maintains assigned accounts and develops new accounts. * Prepares and delivers sales presentations to clients. * Explains to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible. * Provides clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media. * Develops advertising schedules with clients and station personnel responsible for placing advertising into station media. * Works with clients and station personnel to develop advertisements. * Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements & Skills * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. * Minimum one year's experience in sales, preferably in the media field. * Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Regional driving required. * Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office with a focus on PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Physical Demands & Work Environment The New Business Account Executive must be able to sit, reach, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
