Job Description: The Business Development Operations team is working to enhance the information contained in GovWin, Serco's current pipeline management database. Having a more robust database would enable the team to expand trend analysis capabilities and concisely convey useful and actionable information and strategies to Leadership. Your role in this initiative would be to collect and digitize competitive data from multiple sources, conduct independent research, create reports and develop key insights. You will also support the development and revision of training documents associated with Business Development Operations. Your gathered information will be made available to a wider audience, allowing teams to draw from historical artifacts and free up resources to pursue new efforts. You will serve in a key role in an effort that has the potential to promote efficiencies and leverage internal resources and capabilities. You will be exposed to individual bid pursuits, in the context of a larger strategic initiative, which will greatly increase your knowledge of business development.
During your Internship, you will gain exposure to the Business Development organization, including Business Analysis & Reporting, Business Development Leads, Capture Managers and functional SMEs. In addition, you will gain exposure to the Executive Management Team and functional leads, as an attendee to select Gate Reviews.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support BD Business Analysis & Reporting by conducting market research to expand the information contained in GovWin, our current pipeline management database.
Collect existing market research and competitive data from multiple sources to refine our current pipeline management tool.
Collaborate with the BD teams and cross-functional departments to identify resources and capture key insights.
Conduct ad hoc and strategic market research.
Support the development of training artifacts, reports and market research publications.
Assist the entire BD organization on ad hoc tasks.
Serco's Internship Training Program is designed to provide college students the opportunity to learn about Serco and gain meaningful, hands-on work experience in a professional environment. Serco's summer internship program places an emphasis on developing the next generation's workforce. As part of our internship curriculum we provide the opportunity for each intern to interact with various areas of the corporate office. This includes the chance to attend brown bag sessions with our senior leadership and participate in teambuilding activities with mentors and fellow interns. We will work with you to determine your desired career path, and the correct steps to get you to your goals. At the end of the program, each intern will give a brief presentation to our senior leadership summarizing their accomplishments and key takeaways achieved while working with us.
This internship spans over 12 weeks 11 weeks worked and 1 week off for Fourth of July. You will work with your mentor to identify the best times for you to come in and leave work. You will work no more than 36 hours a week with half-days on Fridays.
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or recently graduated.
Rising Juniors, Rising Seniors, and Recent Grads Preferred.
Liberal Arts, Political Science, and Business Majors Preferred.
