Position summary:

Provide the clerical support for all boat, motor, trailer or ATV customer purchases in the Boat Department or at a Boat Dealership.

Position responsibilities:
1.Support a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
2.Assist the Business/Sales Manager or (in the absence thereof) the Boat Manager in selling finance and insurance programs to increase dealer revenues.
3.Conduct or assist in customer closings and funding activities.
4.Coordinate all paperwork involved in the sale process, i.e., create and finalize quotes in IDS, print all closing documents, enter customer deposits in IDS and maintain Sales, Finance and/or Commission logs.
5.Account for all monies received in the department and ensure the safekeeping of those funds.
6.Perform closing activities at the end of the day, i.e., till reconciliation procedures, batch detail report, Daily Cash Report, bank deposit slip preparation, etc.
7.Complete data entry into IDS of all activities associated with the sale. Accurately post all deals within 24 hours of delivery.
8.Organize / process MSO's by entering their receipt into IDS, safeguarding these documents, maintaining an appropriate filing system for easy retrieval when unit sells, and completing appropriate affidavits for requesting duplicate MSO's as needed.
9.Answer multi-line phones in a timely, professional and courteous manner. Direct all inbound calls to the appropriate associate or department and take complete and accurate messages if requested associate is unavailable.
10. Keep boat dealership stocked with all necessary office supplies, including state / local title and registration paperwork; maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and order supplies on a timely basis.
11. Complete and file all required title work and associated documentation. Prepare check requests as needed.
12. Maintain all documentation from the various manufacturers and warranty register all products sold within manufacturer's specified timeframe requirements.
13. Perform other clerical tasks as required including, sending faxes, file preparation and maintenance of customer files.
14. Maintain a clean and professional work area.
15. Follow all Company Policies and Procedures.
16. Perform other duties, assignments and responsibilities as needed.

Education and/or Experience

High School education or equivalent experience

Mathematical Skills / Reasoning Ability

Ability to calculate figures, make change to customers and figure percentages

Communication Skills

Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Clerical / data entry skills preferably within the marine or auto industry

Good organizational abilities

Detail orientated

CAREERS THAT CHANGE LIVES * This is a 3rd Shift position* Primary focus will be to work in a command center environment to maintain smooth operation of Medtronic's global IT Systems. This position will utilize enterprise monitoring tools to identify technology issues across multiple technologies. Focus is on proactively identifying and taking steps to prevent issues that could adversely impact production systems. Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving basic technical and production issues as they occur. Also responsible for documenting issues and engaging appropriate IT specialists as needed. Develop knowledge and support additional technologies and platforms as the needs of the Command Center dictate. Adheres to established service levels, processes and procedures. A DAY IN THE LIFE Data Center * Performs quality assurance steps on all batch processing activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Monitors batch jobs to ensure all steps are executed and abnormal job terminations are handled in a timely manner. * Schedule batch processing jobs in Tivoli – TWS job scheduler * Performs scheduled backups and maintains tape libraries. * Responsible for ensuring proper processes are followed regarding physical access to the data center. Network Operations * Uses Network Management tools to monitor the Medtronic global network. Detects network issues and alerts. Follows procedures to prioritize and resolve problems. Escalates to specialists as needed. * Updates documentation to accurately record new equipment installs, new sites, and changes to network configurations. General * Monitors hardware utilization, database utilization, and system response time. * Tracks and updates service requests using a trouble-ticketing system. * Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope. * Troubleshoots failed equipment, connections, facility issues and other components of the IT infrastructure. Resolves issues and/or escalates to the next level as needed. * Applies operating system patches and upgrades as directed. * Develops and maintains a practical understanding of technologies currently deployed within the department. Demonstrates basic understanding of principles, concepts, practices and standards of industry knowledge. * May work with the Technical Operations team to participate in building, refreshing and retiring servers. MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications) * Bachelor's degree * 0+ years of experience with a bachelor's or advanced degree NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications) * Previous Medtronic experience * Previous experience with Datacenter environment * Experience supporting Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) versions 9.1 or 9.4 * Experience with Windows and/or Unix server in a global enterprise environment * Ability to translate customer requirements into recommendations that fit needs. * Ability to handle multiple projects and activities, deal with change, and work with a variety of personality types required * Experience with large enterprise applications such as SAP and Siebel * Command Center experience * Experience & knowledge across other technologies outside of those highlighted under Technical Requirements * Experience with Service Now – IT Management Systems Tool ABOUT MEDTRONIC Together, we can change healthcare worldwide.
