Our client is searching for an independent candidate with abilities to supervise and coach a team of Junior Accountants. The ideal candidate will be upwardly mobile for management opportunities. Need a strong self-starter that needs minimal supervision and is a true leader!

Manage processes and reporting for the budget and forecast cycles; manage monthly profit and loss statement and tax calculations.

Works closely with the Financial Accounting Manager to guide financial forecasting, budgeting, planning, and reporting processes.

Responsible for all financial statement related reporting functions and needs. Assess emerging reporting needs and coordinate reporting sources, systems, and formats. Ensure that all prepared financial statements are accurate and presented in accordance with GAAP.

Work with Director of Audit & Tax on tax return work paper preparation for Federal and State income tax returns. Research tax questions and implement changes as appropriate. Interface with CPA firm on a regular basis.

Manage Net Realizable Value (NRV) process and calculations on finished goods inventory at each budget/forecast cycle and year end. Work as business partner with Planning, Sales, and Marketing departments regarding the data necessary to timely and accurately complete the NRV calculations. Develop key assumptions for NRV and guide decision


Bachelors degree in Accounting
5+ years experience in finance accounting and/or packaged goods manufacturing, as well as experience performing budgeting and forecasting

Progressive experience in managing people.

Strong preference for a current CPA license.

Strong preference for working knowledge of GAAP and tax issues specific to Cooperatives, Growers.

As an Associate, you will provide audit and tax services to clients, with a primary focus on developing expertise within a specific industry. You will utilize your accounting educational background and internship experience to assist in all stages of an engagement or project; most commonly review engagements, procedures engagements, or basic tax issues, providing support and leverage to seniors and others.
