This position requires selling telecommunications products and services, internet and phone services by approaching customers in pre-determined territories and geographic areas. Successful candidates will demonstrate sales success in a quota driven sales environment. Expectation is to reach and exceed pre-determined monthly sales quota targets.

The Business Account Manager D2D plays a key role in the Business Sales process. The position is the primary contact for all face-to-face, proactive sales efforts for a variety of complex and newly emerging products and services for a select segment of strategic customers. The Business Account Manager D2D is expected to assess the customer's needs and provide optimal communications solutions and applications form HT product and service line that meets their needs. Customer satisfaction as well as financial performance of a specific number of accounts within an assigned market segment will directly relate to the performance of the Business Account Manager D2D.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
80% Develope and implement sales activities that are strategically important to HT to achieve sales targets

  • Make direct communication with customers either on-site or over the phone to secure sales prospects. Interact and/or team with sales managers to approach sales opportunities.

  • Create proposals which includes formulating a solution, creating a design, generating pricing and proposal together for the customer. This will also include working with engineering and our vendors to ensure that we are proposing the best possible solution to our customers.

  • Manage the sale through installation adhering to the HT procedures before, during and after a sale.
    20% Complete administrative responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to resolve customer issues and minimize complaints.

  • Assist account executives in gathering accurate product related information including pricing, application and proposal development

  • Ensure accurate ordering and installation of network services and data

  • Develop/maintain expertise on process flows and system knowledge as they become available.

A. Education

  • Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's degree or 4 years' equivalent experience in a related field.

B. Professional training or knowledge

  • Two to five (2 to 5) years of door to door or direct sales in a technology-based or high activity related field is preferred.

  • Sales person from a competitive environment desired.

  • Demonstrated success in sales environment, developing and utilizing sales plans and strategies to reach sales goals.

  • Proven sales experience in the telecommunications industry preferred.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in spreadsheet (Excel), word processing (Word) and other software applications.

  • Demonstrated experience using written and oral communication skills.

Special Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Consultative approach to the sales process from approach to close and follow-up of assigned accounts.

  • Experience in utilizing current technological means of communicating (i.e., Twitter, Facebook, etc,)

  • Planning for account penetration within assigned territory and account base.

Work Conditions

  • Five (5) days per week, 8 hours per day, flexible hours and days. May require working weekends and/or evening events.

  • Indoor work

  • Work may be performed in an enclosed area lacking windows. Exposed to indoor conditions, dust, noise, dirt, heat, various lighting conditions, etc.
  • Exposed to external work environment and elements occasionally.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work may be performed at various locations under varying conditions.

  • Requires frequent sitting and occasional standing, walking, stooping/kneeling/ crouching/crawling, lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs, and reading paper documentation and electronic communications.

  • Requires driving/traveling to various event locations; valid driver's license required.

  • May require late hours and weekends to complete assignments and projects.

Identifies and develops incremental opportunities that result in profitable revenue growth measured annually. * Works in collaboration with client, CE, 3rd party suppliers and Commercial management to negotiate and win contract renewals and expansions. * Leads the development of winning sales strategies on complex pursuits including but not limited to competitive strategy, pricing, and negotiations. * Navigates the relationships with key influencers in the account. * Works with CE to identify and qualify new business opportunities and presents compelling business case to Pursuit Decision Board to obtain pre-sales resources. Develops and maintains a pipeline of new opportunities at the client while closing existing opportunities. * Owns and maintains the reporting and forecasting requirements for the assigned area of the account and escalates financial or other issues to CE/senior leadership on a timely basis to mitigate any account risk. Ensures clients are billed in a timely manner and clients pay promptly per the terms of their contract. * Quickly resolves issues that ensure we maintain momentum to the sales process. * Mentors, teaches, and shares best practices with others.
