Bush Hog is one of the most recognized and successful names in the Agricultural Market. The Material Handler II is a key position in the Company and will support and contribute to the company goals of profitability, return on investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention. The Material Handler II will work under general supervision to perform a combination of tasks to handle parts and materials for manufacturing operations. Will read production schedules, customer orders, work orders and shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed. Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of inventory and be assigned to a particular work center or various centers.

Essential Functions of the Job:

SHIPPING/SERVICE PARTS DEPARTMENT

  • Focus, communicate, encourage and contribute to Safety in all aspects of the job and all company meetings.

  • Check and verify inventory problems or errors.

  • Check and verify units to match customer order via the load sheet.

  • Pick, pack and prepare product for loading.

  • Operate a forklift to load, retrieve or move product throughout the facility.

  • Disassembly of units may be required.

  • Respond to request from Supervisor to locate needed parts and product.

  • Capable of performing basic measurements.

  • Use standard measuring equipment for example; tape measure, load height sick 13.6 for DOT regulations.

  • Determine basic space requirement and trailer size per product being loaded.

  • Pick, pack, prepare and ship customer orders via: commercial carrier and/or export container or customer pick-ups.

  • Mark material with identifying information using stencil, crayon or other marking device.

  • Record amount of material or items received or distributed by processing issue, transfer, receipt or sale orders.

  • Move materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.

  • Load material by hand or hoist/crane.

  • Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards, or insure compliance with height, weight and length.

  • Use print and or computer to access information or data.

  • Make adjustments or repairs to articles in stock to fill orders.

  • Work on other material handling tasks as assigned.

  • Maintain good housekeeping and safe area.

  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

RECEIVING DEPARTMENT

  • Unload Trucks.

  • Receive incoming inventory.

  • Check and verify material to print.

  • Operate overhead crane.

  • Load machines.

  • Use computer to check in material.

  • Operate forklift.

  • Use computer with inventory gun, Excel and Outlook.

  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):

  • Capable of performing standard measurements using geometric tools (Tape Measure, Protractor, etc.).

  • Basic math, reading and computer data skills needed.

  • Minimum dexterity required for use of hand power tools, nail guns, skill saw, drills, impact gun, strap bander, hoist and cranes.

  • Ability to operate a forklift.

  • Ability to lift, push or pull 50 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance.

  • Must be able to speak, hear and see to perform duties to communicate clearly.

  • Have a valid Driver's License.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years experience in material handling preferred.

The Product Sales/Application Specialist will provide help to support profitable achievement of company sale objectives associated with the assigned market territory. The Product Sales/Application Specialist is responsible for the demonstration of Bush Hog products in order to have the greatest overall impact on the company sales results. The position is responsible to support current dealers and to attract new dealers and new end users within the territory assigned. Core Competencies for this position include: * Leading Change/Change Management * Training of Dealer Personnel and Key End Users. * Communication and Presentation Skills. * Business Acumen * Results Driven Essential Functions of the Job: * Responsible for the travel and demonstration of Bush Hog products within the field and the proper use of the Bush Hog truck and trailer and assigned demo equipment. * Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company sales initiatives. * Evaluates competitor products, pricing and sales promotions and report back to Sales and Product Management. * Proactively searches, recruits, and helps to sign new Bush Hog dealers within the assigned territory. * Proactively assesses and validates customer requirements and satisfaction by building strong dealer and end customer relationships. * Helps Sales Team to meet or exceed assigned territory sales quotas. * Works closely with the Bush Hog Product Management and Engineering teams to provide in field data within product issues or design. * Works closely with dealers to ensure customer satisfaction and high levels of field sales support. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and achieve results under minimal supervision Knowledge or skill with setting up and presenting products at trade shows and other events Ability to build and foster effective business relationships with executives, managers, dealerships, vendors, end users and other internal and external customers Ability to embody Alamo Group's high ethical standards and demonstrate personal and organizational accountability. Must be an excellent communicator, verbal and written. Must have a excellent driving record and be willing to spend seventy five percent or more of their time traveling within their assigned territory. Must be a proficient computer user with skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Education and Experience: High school required, college preferred. 3-5 years sales, demo, or agricultural equipment experience required; AG equipment sales experience preferred. Must be able to set up and demonstrate equipment. Working Conditions: This position requires extensive road travel between dealerships. Must be able to set, stand, walk for long periods of time.
