Bus Driver/Training Program (6630)

Position Details School bus driving is a part-time job. Bus Drivers and Substitute Bus Drivers need to be available at 6:00 a.m. for driving. Extracurricular driving may go as late as 11:00 p.m.

If you require a CDL (Class B) endorsement, we will provide Classroom and Behind the Wheel Training; Skills Test Training; DOT Physical and Drug Screening; and First Aid\CPR training at no cost to you. Evergreen School District will pay $20.00/per hour for up to 40 hours of classroom training and up to 40 hours of behind-the-wheel training.

Classroom training takes approximately 40 hours. Behind the wheel training takes approximately 20 hours.

CDL skills training takes approximately 10 hours. These hours are divided over the course of 10-14 days.

Listed below are costs that may be incurred by those seeking a bus-driving position with Evergreen Public Schools. These costs will be reimbursed to substitute drivers after 90 working days.
