THIS IS A POOL POSITION. The number of positions available will be based upon the number of regular position vacancies. Candidates selected for this pool will be eligible to fill vacancies as they occur. The number of days and hours will vary depending upon the vacant position.
Preference given to current North Kitsap SD substitute drivers
NOTE: * Potential applicants who do not have a CDL with the authorization from OSPI and would like to drive for our district must apply for our Substitute Bus Driver position
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING DRUG SCREENING: This is a safety sensitive position for which impairment while working presents a substantial risk of death. RCW 49.44.240 3(g) Candidates who must present a CDL, or receive CDL within a prescribed time period as a requirement for employment are subject to screening and specifically prohibited if test results are positive for cannabis.
REQUIRED: Current CDL and the OSPI authorization to drive students.
REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS: CDL and 5 Year Driver Abstract (less than 30 days old)

Benefits
Eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours an employee is anticipated to work during the school year (September 1 - August 31). This position is anticipated to meet the requirement of 630 hours of employment in a school/fiscal year to qualify for benefits.
