Aveanna Healthcare's Pediatric Day Healthcare Center is a child-oriented medical facility. We are looking for several Bus Drivers to join our team and safety transport children and nursing staff to and from the Pediatric Day Health Centers (PDHC). Available shifts are Monday

  • Friday, morning and afternoon. No weekends, nights or holidays! If you are passionate about kids, this is an outstanding opportunity to develop specialized skills and gain experience in a fun childcare setting.

COVID-19 Precautions:

Aveanna Healthcare has instituted strict COVID-19 protocols in addition to CDC recommendations to provide a safe and healthy environment for our employees and high-risk pediatric patients. All employees are encouraged to be vaccinated.

  • Personal protective equipment provided

  • Temperature and daily COVID screenings

  • Sanitizing, disinfecting, and frequent cleaning procedures

Qualifications for Bus/Van Driver Position:

  • Valid PA Driver's License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

  • Work experience with transportation or delivery is preferred, but not required

  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification (can be obtained during orientation)

Bus/Van Driver Position Details:

  • Transport children ages birth to 8 years old accompanied by a nurse to and from the Pediatric Day Healthcare Center

  • Conduct maintenance and safety checks on vehicle

  • Participate as a vital member of our multidisciplinary team

VIEW JOBS 7/4/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-10-02T00:00 Requisition #:111223 Location:Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705 Category:Personal Care Assistant Position Overview The Teacher is responsible for providing and maintaining a stimulating learning environment for all of our Pediatric Day Health Center (PDHC) children that allows them to make physical, cognitive, linguistic, social and emotional gains as they are able. Essential Job Functions * Interact with children in a loving, positive and consistent manner * Be alert to safety and wellbeing of children throughout the day * Prepare weekly lesson plan and keep staff, therapists, and parents informed of upcoming events. * Respect rights of children and parents to confidentiality, while conforming to law if signs of suspected abuse or neglect appear * Develop and plan a flexible classroom schedule that promotes the child's growth in all areas of development - social, emotional, cognitive, physical and psychological. * Assists in maintenance of classroom by cleaning toys, keeping supplies in order, ordering needed materials, and keeping bulletin boards current. Takes turns with cleaning kitchen and picking up playground. Assist children loading and unloading form vans while observing classroom ratios. * Complete required paperwork in a timely fashion. Produce written goals and objectives for children as needed. * Work with caregivers (nurses and therapists) in and out of the classroom to provide a clinical and therapeutic basis to meet Plans of Care * Attend workshops and meetings to stay professionally current and meet state requirements. * Take part in team approach to facilities collective efforts of staff Requirements * High school diploma or GED * Must meet minimum educational qualifications as governed by the state regulatory service. * One (1) year previous verifiable experience working with young children * Current CPR/BCLS certification * Current First aid certification * Proficient Microsoft Office skills Preferences * N/A Other Skills/Abilities * Must maintain company confidentiality at all times * Must maintain professional boundaries at all times * Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations * Attention to detail * Time Management * Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution * Excellent organization and communication skills Physical Requirements * Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English * Occasional rapid movement and physical agility in response to the spontaneity of children and those patients with neurological impairment * Frequent lifting, caring, pushing and pulling of up to 25 pounds * Must be able to lift 50 pounds * Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting * Must be able to sit and climb stairs * Must have visual and hearing acuity Environment * Performs duties in an office environment during agency operating hours * Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions * Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases Other Duties * Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
