The Building/Equipment/Maintenance Coordinator is a key associate at Hope Network whose primary responsibilities include: Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of the departmental facilities, vehicles, equipment and grounds.
Assign work orders to maintenance staff and oversee maintenance staff when the supervisor is not available. Secure and assist outside contractors with repairs as needed. Complete supply order preparation, inventory control and pick-up and delivery of equipment and supplies. Consult on departmental building plans and construction projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is not intended to be an exhaustive listing of job functions. 1.Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
2.Complete routine, semi-skilled maintenance tasks, including: floor maintenance, painting, mechanical repair, physical plant repair and improvement, grounds keeping, and snow removal.
3.Must have advanced knowledge of all buildings systems under purview including electrical systems, fire systems, security systems and plumbing.
4.Must have knowledge of floorplans of all buildings.
5.Perform basic electrical, plumbing and mechanical installation at facilities. Maintain, monitor and secure outside contractors, as needed, on heating, cooling and ventilation systems. Monitor inspection, maintenance and repair of fire protection equipment and systems.
6.Maintain records of all inspections and maintenance repairs needed for licensing agencies.
7.Complete specific duties that ensure environmental health and safety, as assigned by supervisor, including:
a. Fire prevention and preparedness; checking fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, means of egress,
b. Building security systems.c. Monthly building/grounds inspections.
d. Fix and report problems of safety, and housekeeping to the appropriate staff member.
e. Participate as Safety Representative at Corporate Safety Meetings.
8.Responsible for supply and inventory control. Duties include regular inventory reporting and ordering of building supplies and chemicals. Provide recommendations, as needed for the purchase of equipment, materials and new products. Purchase building materials. Track expenditures.
9.Perform maintenance and repair of all other needs of buildings on a repair order basis.
10. Consult on departmental building plans and construction projects.
10. May be required to provide oversight to consumer employees as needed.
Educational / Talent Requirements:
1.Minimum Education required: Associates degree or equivalent experience in related field.
2.Valid driver's license with driving record acceptable to Hope Network policy; ability to travel independently in assigned area.
3.Mechanical aptitude; ability to diagnose issues and concerns as they arise.
4.Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
5.Must be self-starter, capable of performing job with limited direct supervision.
6.Ability to train maintenance staff on new skills.
7.Critical decision making.
8.Must possess time management skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task.
Work Experience Requirements:
1.At least one years' experience in general housekeeping/janitorial, general maintenance, including electrical systems, plumbing and construction/carpentry work, machine maintenance and grounds keeping.
2.Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required.
