Position Description

The Pennington County Sheriff's Office is seeking an energetic and efficient applicant to join our Maintenance team as a Building Tech. This position will be staffed at the Pennington County Jail. Position Functions

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Performs all activities required to maintain cleanliness and sanitation

• Cleans and maintains hard surface floors by regularly scrubbing, mopping and waxing

• Cleans and maintains the appearance of walls, woodwork and ceilings using the appropriate cleaning tools and painting when necessary

• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms

• Collects and removes refuse from office and building areas

• Washes windows and glasswork as necessary

• Maintains records relating to the facility care and maintenance

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 1 year of building maintenance experience is preferred

License/Certification: SD Driver's License within 90 days of state residency

Ability to pass a background check.

Additional Information

Applicants will be screened based on reported qualifications and selected for panel interview. Upon conditional offer, applicants will undergo a comprehensive background investigation and pre-employment drug screen.
