Position Description
The Pennington County Sheriff's Office is seeking an energetic and efficient applicant to join our Maintenance team as a Building Tech. This position will be staffed at the Pennington County Jail. Position Functions
Duties may include but are not limited to:
Performs all activities required to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
Cleans and maintains hard surface floors by regularly scrubbing, mopping and waxing
Cleans and maintains the appearance of walls, woodwork and ceilings using the appropriate cleaning tools and painting when necessary
Cleans and sanitizes restrooms
Collects and removes refuse from office and building areas
Washes windows and glasswork as necessary
Maintains records relating to the facility care and maintenance
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 1 year of building maintenance experience is preferred
License/Certification: SD Driver's License within 90 days of state residency
Ability to pass a background check.
Additional Information
Applicants will be screened based on reported qualifications and selected for panel interview. Upon conditional offer, applicants will undergo a comprehensive background investigation and pre-employment drug screen.
