This position begins with the 2020-2021 school year.

Position Objective

To provide data and participate as a member of District teams to help students resolve such speech and language problems as interfere with their adjustments to school and their capacity to enjoy the fullest benefits of the education offered to them.

Essential Functions:

  • Acts as a case manager for "speech-only" case study evaluations

  • Screens and evaluates children to identify those with speech/language disorders

  • Develops appropriate therapy materials for school and/or home

  • Determines appropriate evaluation methods to address referral concerns

  • Completes and submits all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner

  • Serves on assigned schools' RTI problem solving team

  • Participates in staffing, parent-teacher conferences, teacher's meetings, school open houses and/or other district meetings

  • Conducts and/or participates in Eligibility/IEP conferences

  • Schedules times and notifies all participants of Eligibility/IEP conferences

  • Determines caseload and schedules children in individual or group therapy sessions as appropriate to the children's need and IEP

  • Maintains ethical communication and standards

  • Maintains ethical and professional assessment standards

  • Keep appraised of current rules and regulations in the areas of special education and speech language pathology. Understands public laws which affect education process

  • Provides services that are reflective of the multicultural sensitivities of students and their families

Additional Functions:

  • Provides assistance/training in behavior management techniques

  • Assists with methods of curriculum instruction, adaptions/modifications

  • Provides in-service as needs arise in assigned area

  • Attends or participates in professional growth opportunities

  • Participates in district committees as necessary and appropriate

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in speech pathology required

  • Illinois Professional Educator License with Speech Language Pathologist endorsement required

  • 1+ year experience preferred

  • Adaptable to different work scenarios and schedules. Able to prioritize efforts in order to achieve a student-focused solution

VIEW JOBS 2/13/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-13T00:00 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Assistant Superintendent Position Objective The Accounts Payable Secretary pays bills for the district, serves as the primary receptionist for the District Office and provides clerical support for Assistant Superintendent Essential Functions: * Process monthly purchase orders and invoices for payment * Process monthly bill report for Administrators and Board Members * Process monthly expense forms for all district employees, including mileage, hotel, food, etc * Originate, upon direction of Director of Operations, buildings and grounds purchase requisitions * Processes and creates EFT, checks, and mails/sends payment for monthly bills * Processes payment for faculty tuition reimbursements * Contacts secretaries about outstanding invoices and purchase orders * Updates AP reports in the financial software system * Files all monthly invoices * W-9 Maintenance * Assist with fiscal year roll over of Accounts Payable * Process 1099's annually * Communicate Accounts Payable processes and expectations to staff * Maintain vendor list and updates as needed * Assist with Accounts Payable portion of the annual audit * Maintain Certificates of Liability * Manage bulk purchasing program * Process and order supplies for District Office staff * Assist realtors and incoming families with residency questions * Sort incoming mail from buildings/post office * Stuff payroll for district employees * Address incoming phone calls and walk-ins * Maintain textbook inventory and orders materials for the Director of Curriculum and Instruction * Filing of paperwork for the Assistant Superintendent * Assist building administrators and staff with purchasing and payables in IV * Provide clerical support for the Assistant Superintendent and other District Office Administrators, as needed Additional Functions: * Serve as back-up for accounts receivable * Provide backup support on other District Office systems * Other duties as assigned Qualifications: * Associate's Degree or higher preferred * Background in accounts payable preferred Competencies: * Proficient in typing, filing, copying and other clerical functions * Proficient in standard office software applications * Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
