We are currently hiring for a Building Maintenance

This position is eligible for a SIGN-ON BONUS OF $1,500

What you'll do

Maintenance and Repairs:

• Day to day task Implementation of Preventative Maintenance Schedules for plant machinery and equipment.

• Performing quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems

• Drywall/plaster repair and painting

• Furniture assembly and relocation

• Changing lights and/or fixtures

• Plumbing repairs, replacements, installation

• Carpentry repairs and installations with hand and power tools

• Minor repair of electrical devices

• Facilities safety inspections

• Concrete and asphalt paving inspections and repairs

• Grounds and security maintenance (fencing, gate arms, and gates)

• Doing landscaping and pest control

• Keeping documents of inspections and problems

• Keeping an inventory of cleaning and repair supplies

• Other tasks and special projects as determined by the needs of the company

Safety: Ensure the health and safety of all persons working, visiting, or otherwise inside the plant. All employees must follow all guidelines in the Health & Safety Manual as well as the Employee Handbook. All employees must be treated equally and held to the same standards.

• This includes, creating SOP's, hot works permitting, JSA's, proper live testing, confined space, lock out, tag out (LOTO) program, injury reports, and any other reports deemed necessary.

Other Duties: All other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor / Manager.

Skills and Knowledge requirements:

The building maintenance person must be able to pass testing for and possess the skills and knowledge of the following.

• Requires standing, stooping, reaching, and lifting to 50 lbs. Requires the ability to perform work with hands and/or arms in the same repetitive motion above and below shoulder level.

• Construction skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing, and welding

• Work in high areas (roofs)

• Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues

• Strong verbal and written communication for discussing maintenance issues.

• Ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions.

• Organizational and time management skills

• Demonstrate trouble shooting skills.

• Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move and handle equipment.

• Stamina to deal with long hours standing or walking.

• The ability to read and write the English language.

• Basic computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite
