This position performs skilled and complex daily activities relating to maintenance and diagnostic services for carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

Performs routine and preventative maintenance tasks. Estimate and procure compatible materials and tools required to perform maintenance, repair and construction-related functions.

Carry out general repairs, such as fixing or replacing doors, windows, and locks, and maintaining and repairing HVAC systems. Perform routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets and sinks, fixing water leaks, and leaking faucets. Assist with general cleaning and upkeep of the facilities.

Perform carpentry work such as building shelves, repairing furniture, and installing fixtures. Handle painting and plastering tasks to maintain a clean and aesthetically pleasing appearance. Maintain appropriate work records and documents, including work orders and formal and informal inspections.

Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies. Prepare and process daily work reports, inspection reports, work orders, requisitions, sketches, etc. Inspect facilities to identify maintenance and repair requirements, hazards, code violations, and priorities.

Respond to emergency and non-emergency service calls, diagnoses problems and makes minor repairs. Estimate and procure compatible materials and tools required to perform maintenance, repair and construction-related functions. Ensures adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.

Performs other related duties as assigned. High School graduation or GED equivalent and two (2) years of experience in performing building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and minor construction maintenance and repairs; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess and maintain valid state Driver's License with an acceptable driving history.
