JOB SUMMARY:

Under close supervision, the Team Member will learn and perform routine facilities maintenance duties. As experience is gained, assignments become more varied, complex, and difficult; close supervision and frequent review of work lessen as the team member demonstrates skill to perform the work independently.  Work is usually supervised while in progress and fits an established structure or pattern. Exceptions or changes in procedures are explained in detail as they arise.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs a variety of preventative maintenance, repairs and/or service duties to ensure the continuous operations of all assigned buildings or mechanical facilities.

  • Must be able to use an iPhone and Maximo application to gather and complete work assignments.

  • Observes all safety regulations in the performance of duties to ensure protection of self, fellow workers, equipment, and the facility.

  • Be able to use and perform minor maintenance of tools and equipment for grounds support work.

  • Sweeps and/or power washes sidewalks and parking areas including snow removal.

  • Empties trash barrels and picks up litter to keep areas free of debris.

  • Independently performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance work including painting, changing light bulbs, unclogging sinks, drains and toilets and replacing flush valves, doorknobs, door stops, chair glides and table legs.

  • Visually inspects facilities for damage, safety hazards and security concerns and reports concerns to lead or supervisory staff including the recording of reading from mechanical equipment, understanding and notifying facility leadership of reading anomalies.

  • May perform Building Maintenance Technician II duties in their absence; and may serve as temporary lead custodian of assigned facility.

  • Knowledge of proper cleaning methods and the safe usage of cleaning tools, materials, and disinfectants.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Grease tank readings / Gordan Ramsay, Noodle Bar, Main Kitchen

Casino entrance clock tower route

Lift station readings / new and old lift stations and casino

Convention center north and south route

Compactor readings / north and south trash and cardboard

Break area routes

Fire panel readings / EST fire panel & Siemens fire panel

Parking lot routes

Preventative Maintenance

Carts / weekly, monthly

Power wash entrances / monthly, quarterly

Generator fuel tanks / monthly, quarterly

Lighting / monthly

Emergency generators / weekly, monthly, quarterly

Painting curbs / semi-annual

Lift stations / weekly,  monthly

Snow removal equip / annual

Trucks / daily, weekly, monthly

General Maintenance

Understand/ perform steps necessary to patch & repair holes in walls using drywall compound and related tools

Understand /perform steps necessary to remove old and install new caulking.

Logging of all mech rooms south plant, district, LV/KC tower hotels, north plant.

Changing of various light bulbs interior and exterior.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business

  • Must be 18 years of age

  • Must be able to obtain Missouri Gaming License

  • Must pass background check and drug test

  • Must present a well-groomed appearance

  • Must be able to obtain a Class E License within 60 days

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mobility and dexterity to constantly carry up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to climb, push, pull, stoop, walk, talk and maintain good balance

  • Must be able to work inside and maneuver throughout the entire property

  • Must be able to work independently

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be able to load and unload carts containing chemicals

  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and push and pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds

  • Must be able to complete all appropriate paperwork

  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues

  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays and weekends

  • May be required to work overtime due to business needs (i.e. snow, weather, system failure, etc.)

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write and understand English
