  • The Building Maintenance Supervisor oversee the Operations & Maintenance workers and coordinate work between skilled trades to ensure contract requirements are fulfilled.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the activities of the O&M department and oversees any subcontracts for the project.

  • Monitor all personnel and subcontractors on-site under established El Paso Service Processing Center standards of conduct.

  • Responsible for work reception, scheduling, and assigning as well as analyzing and reporting work status and performance.

  • Utilize the CMMS to control scheduled and unscheduled services, ensuring that personnel with the proper skills and training are assigned.

  • Implement and oversee the Preventative Maintenance schedule.

  • Interface with facility occupants.

  • Assess work requirements and committing labor and resources to accomplish scheduled and unscheduled tasks.

  • Assist in implementation, application, and updating the Quality Control program.

  • Maintain all safety data sheets (SDS).

  • Inventory all incoming materials, supplies, and tools into the CMMS system.

  • Track work orders and PM's on the CMMS.

  • Perform assigned quality control inspections.

  • Serve as On Call Supervisor and be available after normal working hours to respond to emergency calls.

  • Responsible for supervising Operations & Maintenance personnel..

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • A two-year Associate Degree and/or equivalent experience.

  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience of supervisory and administrative skills in an institutional setting with a multi-functional background in all facility support departments.

  • Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Security Clearance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Highly qualified and possess general supervisory operation maintenance experience.

  • Possess specific supervisory experience in operations, maintenance or asset management.

  • Must have experience in purchasing, budget, and quality control.

  • Must have experience training, evaluating staff, and strong organizational skills.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
