Schedule:

The position requires flexibility in the work schedule. A work shift starting at 10 a.m. Monday through Friday covers early evening activities and some weekend work as needed.

Discover Impactful Work

As a vital member of our facility services department and building maintenance mechanic, I will maintain laboratories and offices in our advanced cGMP manufacturing facility. This position offers a distinct chance to significantly impact our organization's success while working in a supportive and diverse environment.

A day in the Life

  • Ensure all facilities, equipment, and utilities are in compliance with regulatory standards and in good working order.

  • Complete assigned work orders, maintain HVAC, electrical equipment, plumbing, and building management systems, and perform building repairs.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.

  • Conducted facility inspections and reported on conditions affecting operations.

    • Recognize deviations from accepted practices and troubleshoot using tools, test equipment, and operating manuals.
  • Apply understanding of cGMPs consistently and generate written records of job duties.

  • Communicate the status of work assignments to internal customers and assist in updating.

  • Perform facility and utility troubleshooting and repairs.

Standard Operating Procedures

  • Promote safe work practices and respond to emergency notifications.

  • Perform additional job duties assigned.

Keys to Success

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience

  • 2+ years of related experience required.
  • 1+ years working in a cGMP environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Good mechanical skills and a deep understanding of quality systems.

  • Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Ability to maintain detailed and accurate reports and establish good working relationships.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to lift 25 lbs routinely and may be required to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

This position does not offer relocation benefits.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $30.70-$46.05.
