Medical City Weatherford is a 103-bed, all private room hospital that includes a network of medical clinics serving Parker County. The dedicated and experienced medical staff represents more than 31 medical specialties. Medical City Weatherford's comprehensive health care services encompass inpatient and outpatient care, and medical, surgical and emergency care, to name a few. The Maintenance Mechanic performs a performs a variety of duties inside and outside the Hospital complex, and other buildings as needed.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Fire Alarm & Related Components

  • Emergency Generator

  • Telephone System

  • Electrical Systems (Normal & Emergency)

  • Electrical Equipment

  • Plumbing, Painting/drywall repair

  • Millwork repair

  • Ceiling Tile replacement

  • Door alignment and hardware repair

  • Minor flooring repair

  • Various HVAC repairs

  • Preventative Maintenance assignments

  • Will also be placed in the ON CALL rotation, per department schedule.

  • This individual will also respond to "Code White" announcements, and/or reports of escalating behavior while on duty, as requested.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equovalent

  • Three years in healthcare mechanical / electrical plant operations

  • Current driver license with clear driving record

  • De-escalation and Intervention Training within 90 days of hire

We are currently searching for a Maintenance Technician to be based out of Weatherford, TX. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this person's primary focus will be to maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience doing electrical/mechanical maintenance in an industrial/manufacturing environment. Prior success as a Maintenance Technician or equivalent position and experience in lean manufacturing is a plus. Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Place orders with vendors for parts and supplies. * Responsible for receiving, stocking, and issuing inventory. * Pick up materials from local vendors. * Ensure warehouse and parts room is clean, organized, and operating efficiently. * Perform cycle counts. * Monitor and review open purchase orders. * Maintain strong vendor relations. * Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshooting malfunctions. * Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment. * Test, locate, and repair trouble in electrical circuits and equipment; perform electronic equipment repair and troubleshooting; repair and replace broken or defective parts; repair electrical motors, parts, wiring and other electrical devices. * Use knowledge of principles, methods and equipment in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and electronic equipment. * Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance requirements. * Work within team environment with minimum supervision. * Exercise judgment and initiative within established guidelines. * Perform inspections of building and equipment required by regulatory agencies. * Assist management in the development of new policies and procedures regarding employee safety. * All other assigned duties Qualifications include: * Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent * CMMS experience preferred * Strong mechanical aptitude * 3 years of experience doing electrical/mechanical maintenance in an industrial/ manufacturing environment * Must have strong Mechanical and Electrical skill sets * Experience with installation of machinery and equipment as well as dis-assembly. * Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner. * Experience and knowledge of Lean Daily Management principles preferred * Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment * Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted * All associates must embrace and foster and environment that supports our core values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Teamwork and Accountability.
