Coordinates the building maintenance operations of a university building or buildings. Plans short- and long-range building repairs, maintenance, operations and renovations. Participates in the preparation of the budget and its monitoring.
Oversees the work activities of building maintenance personnel.
Directs building repairs and maintenance; develops and implements operation and housekeeping standards and procedures.
Supervises a safety technician and directs ADA compliance; develops, implements and administers building emergency procedures.
Coordinates property and facilities inventories; coordinates building utilization procedures and policies with students, faculty and staff.
Administers the unit's budget; approves and analyzes budget reports and forecasts expenditures; recommends purchases and approves payments.
Identifies renovation and construction needs and makes recommendations for means, methods and materials; obtains preliminary pricing for budget.
Writes specifications for new fixtures, furniture and equipment; selects suppliers.
Oversees landscaping and enforces building usage policies.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requires the ability and knowledge for analysis and interpretation of procedures, policies and practices attainable through specific education and/or training programs in a specialty or technical field. Advanced vocational or electronic skills or a basic knowledge of a professional field is required. An Associate's degree or certification/licensing in a technical specialty program of over 18 months and up to 3 years duration are characteristic of this field. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
