Overview
The Building Engineer is responsible for the operation and maintenance of our HQ building and related equipment. The incumbent is a subject matter expert and provides guidance on engineering maintenance within our branch portfolio.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
Performs daily general maintenance duties such as preventive maintenance, trouble calls, and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned.
Check fire/life safety systems, fire alarm panel, fire extinguishers, etc.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with all requirements, policies, and procedures relevant to the position.
Utilize the CMMS-Ticket system to manage work orders, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of maintenance requests.
Navigate the CMMS system proficiently to document work performed, update records, and generate reports as needed.
Maintain accurate records of equipment and maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate records for reporting to relevant agencies.
Manage vendor relationship and oversee service work performed by critical system partners.
Understanding of preventative maintenance.
Good organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Be able to walk, bend, balance, crawl, and reach for extended periods of time
Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union's policies and procedures.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
Driver's license required.
3+ years of hands-on experience in repair and maintenance of industrial equipment
Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems
Universal CFC certification is preferred.
Universal EPA license is preferred.
This position is based at our Headquarters location in Dublin CA
Target Base Pay
$26.62 - $31.31 / hour
