Summary

Responsible for managing a team of 5 Architectural Sales Representatives and 1 technical service representative located in the Southeast District, primarily focusing on the commercial waterproofing, liquids, and air barrier segments. Responsible for maintaining contact with established customers and developing new prospects in the marketplace.

Job Description

  • Analyzes customer's needs and formulates solutions using all resources made available by the company

  • Maintain and increase sales volume with established accounts

  • Aggressively seeks new projects to position GCP Applied Technologies by implementing planned sales strategies and company marketing programs

  • Assists sales representatives in servicing existing and prospective accounts in assigned territory in accordance with company's policies and programs

  • Successfully promotes new growth products

  • Maintain accurate sales and margin projections / reports as well as managing expenses within the region.

Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrates ability to consistently meet customer expectations and work as part of a team

  • Ability to handle multiple decision makers in the sales process including architects, engineers, consultants, owner reps, general contractors, sub-contractors and distribution channel partners.

  • Possesses good problem-solving skills and the ability to discuss business issues and propose appropriate product solutions

  • Possesses strong managerial skills

  • Strong presentation skills required

  • Ability to negotiate pricing as well as problems

Experience and Education

  • 5 7 years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor's degree required

Position Summary With direction from the DPVM Leadership Team, the BTNR Special Project Manager works as part of the RMC Building New Reality team to ensure the successful execution of Renew My Church objectives and Archdiocesan and Vicariate renewal priorities. Working under the direction of the Director for Special Projects and in close collaboration with the DPVM Directors/teams the BTNR Special Project Manager is responsible for driving the research, design, and piloting and implementation of priority pastoral initiatives related to the RMC Building the New Reality phase. The Program Manager maintains ongoing communications with the DPVM Leadership Team. They participate in weekly DPVM weekly team meetings and other necessary RMC Building the New Reality programs and offerings. Responsibilities: * *Serves as a coach and resource for others on the team and is considered credible with an acknowledged expertise in their field and able to offer high value insights. * *Provides strategic, project management and planning assistance to all Renew My Church- Building New Reality Phase staff. * *Coordinates division of work, resources and planning for special projects supporting the Renew My Church- Building New Reality Phase. * *Monitors and ensures the successful execution of special projects supporting the RMC Building New Reality Phase. * *Develops relationships with the Pastor Center teams, PVCs / LFCs, and RMC team, and works to ensure an effective flow of information and leveraging of ideas and resources. * *Maintains a focus on delivery and motivates others to reach goals, * *Ensures compliance with Archdiocesan policies, regulations and budget guidelines. * *Increases skills and knowledge through continuing education, attending conferences and reading appropriate literature. * *May be given other assignments and projects consistent with the responsibility level of this position. * Denotes essential functions of this position, in conjunction with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. * At least five years of experience in parish ministry and/ or relevant business organization. * Proven track record of working effectively with others. * Fully committed to the Catholic Church's teachings. * Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people from varied social, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. * Strong project management skills. * Culturally and politically astute; understands implicit and explicit decision making- processes. * Strong read of people and situations; able to ascertain needs and match resources * Comfortable acting as a catalyst and change agent for defining future strategies and goals. * Focuses on delivery and motivating others to reach ambitious goals. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and Power Point. * Must demonstrate understanding, respect and support for Catholic Church teaching, mission and values, and availability for overtime, evening or weekend work. * Must be able to travel to all Vicariate locations and parishes within the Archdiocese. * Must be an excellent communicator; detail-oriented and self-motivated. * Must have excellent relationship building team building and influence skills. * Bachelor's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Management or equivalent * Two or more years of leadership experience. * Two or more years of leadership/management experience in the Archdiocese of Chicago. * Working knowledge of communications strategies, social media techniques. * Conversational Spanish language skills. * Some lifting of and transporting boxed materials.
