Overview

The Building Engineer is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the building and related equipment. The incumbent is a subject matter expert and provides guidance on engineering maintenance within our branch portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.

  • Performs daily general maintenance duties such as preventive maintenance, trouble calls, and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned.

  • Check fire/life safety systems, fire alarm panel, fire extinguishers, etc.

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with all requirements, policies, and procedures relevant to the position.

  • Utilize the CMMS-Ticket system to manage work orders, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of maintenance requests.

  • Navigate the CMMS system proficiently to document work performed, update records, and generate reports as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment and maintenance activities.

  • Maintain accurate records for reporting to relevant agencies.

  • Manage vendor relationship and oversee service work performed by critical system partners.

  • Understanding of preventative maintenance.

  • Good organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel

  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Be able to walk, bend, balance, crawl, and reach for extended periods of time

  • Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union's policies and procedures.

  • Assess risk associated with your business processes and identifying control deficiencies to drive the company compliance and risk mindset and business performance.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

  • Driver's license required.

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in repair and maintenance of industrial equipment

  • Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems

  • Universal CFC certification is preferred.

  • Universal EPA license is preferred.

  • This position is based at our Headquarters location in Dublin CA

Target Base Pay

$26.35 - $31.00 / hour
