Job Summary

REPORTS TO: Director of Engineering

BASIC PURPOSE: Supervise the implementation of all property and equipment preventive maintenance and repairs, monitor life safety systems and utilities and assist in the administration of the division in compliance with all corporate/franchise standards and local, state and national codes and regulations to protect assets, guests and employees.

ORGANIZATIONAL SCOPE: Supervise the day-to-day operations.

Recommend and implement procedural changes. Monitor and control expenses.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Supervise the Engineering employees; interview, schedule, train, develop, coach and counsel, provide open communications, recommend performance reviews, resolve problems and recommend discipline, as appropriate. (15%)
2.Implement and schedule property and equipment preventive maintenance programs in compliance with corporate/franchise standards and local, state and national codes and regulations to ensure safety, convenience and satisfaction of all guests, managers and employees, to protect the assets and maintain the property in first class condition. (15%)
3.Prioritize service requests; schedule and monitor the service performed to ensure customer satisfaction, safety and convenience. (15%)
4.Test and examine the life safety systems to ensure they are 100% operational at all times to protect the assets, guests and employees. (10%)
5.Monitor utility consumption to determine the effectiveness of current systems. (5%)
6.Review purchase requests and monitor expenses budget goals are met/exceeded. (5%)

Fundamentals One to two years of post high school education, with two to three years of employment related experience is required. Thorough knowledge of the housekeeping field and supervisory skills are required. You must be able to communicate effectively with staff, management and guests, and a second language may be required. The ability to operate a two-way radio, cleaning and general office equipment, including a computer, is expected. This position requires full mobility, continuous movement and the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
