Haley Ward is seeking a skilled Building Design Drafter to join our team. As a Building Design Drafter, you will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed technical drawings for building projects. Your role will involve collaborating with architects and engineers to create construction documents, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and proficiency in relevant software.

What you can expect to be doing:

  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop detailed building designs and construction documents

  • Utilize CAD software to create accurate and precise technical drawings

  • Review and revise drawings to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and specifications

  • Perform calculations and measurements to ensure accuracy of drawings

  • Coordinate with other team members to integrate designs and resolve any conflicts or issues

  • Maintain project documentation and update drawings as necessary throughout the design process

  • Communicate and collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to gather requirements and address design-related questions or concerns

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in drafting techniques and software

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred

  • Proven experience as a Building Design Drafter or similar role

  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other relevant tools

  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise technical drawings

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
